One of the things that make Viva la Vida more of an album than a collection of potential singles i think is the theme or running concept throughout, d'you think Oasis may have a non-musical connection in the songs?

I think Noel wants to make this new record sound like The Verve...I think he still looks up to Ashcroft and their friendly rivalry with new albums out this year (is it 1996 again?) may inspire them both to do some different things

i think groove started from the basslines as noel is saying means something like what we heard in echoes around the sun..

To have "grooves" it isnt only drum and bass, you need a good lead type of guitar playing to mesh it all up. If it sounds like the Roses "Breaking Into Heaven (around 9:00/9:37)" and Columbia, OMG.....butta yo, BUTTAH! If it's like Noel sez, then I can see [glow=red,2,300]LOADS of spliffin' at gigs[/glow]..... RESPECT!

If Echoes is a representative of what to come, I'm game man. That tune is fucking awesome.
