I work at 101.1 WCBS-FM in NYC and we work in the same office as 92.3 K-ROCK. I was Board Op-ing last night and was toying around in the Production Studio before hand with the K-ROCK Music Library. I went to Oasis and saw a number of tunes (most of which never get played on K-ROCK) and stumbled on "I Can See It Now".
It is epic. It must be a demo or instrumental version because there were no vocals except with some oooohs by Noel at the end and what someone singing "Can You See it Now, I Can See it Now etc."
The tune is an agressive Summer rocker in the same vein of GLIO, Hindu Times and Lyla. The main difference between this and Lyla is that Lyla always felt like it was building towards something but never gets there. This song does. It peaks with what sounds like a kettle boiling, similar to the whistle in Go Let it Out.
Obviously I can't make a full review without hearing Liam on it, but musically it sounds like a sure fire hit. K-Rocks PD is a big fan so hopefully he'll push it.
I can't post it here cuz I'd probably get fired, but Webby keep an eye out. If I can I'll send it to you and you can post a review.

What was it released on? I never heard it. It was released as a limited vinyl-only promo prior to album release and was later released in Japan as a bonus track on Don't Believe The Truth.

Damn it. I was so excited by that. Why would they not slap some vocals on that? It's a great tune.

Doesn't sound that similar to me, I suppose it's a similar style but whatever. It's an alright tune, but I think they probably didn't put it on a proper release because it only has like one lyric. And y'know, that's fine for a limited release bonus song, it's nice having songs like that for us real fans to try and find. Same as You've got the heart of a star and Boneheads bank holiday and what not.

i don't think anyone can deny it's an early mucky fingers.... same exact chords and structure, and listen to how the song ends - it's the same exact ending and drum cadence as mucky fingers....

I really just don't get it. I'm usually on the same page with the majority of you guys, but I can't stand this song. I find it so boring and obnoxious. It's just this annoying guitar and overdriven percussion over and over and over...How people like this song, yet can call A Quick Peep and the Cage boring is beyond me.

I don't see the big deal, the band didn't even release it as a b-side in the UK.
It's a good title now though.
One thing I'am interested in though is "The Ear Has No Memory"... where did they get this title from?

I agree the chord progression is quite similar, but i just cant see someone singing Mucky Fingers over that tune to be quite honest...

Maybe they're both just very similar. Does this mean wonderwall is the demo of d'you know what i mean before they put on the lead guitars?

It's not Mucky Fingers... but I just sang it over the beginning and it's AMAZING! The bridge isn't that same at all, but the quality of the recording is so much cooler than the demo of Mucky Fingers that ended up on the record. Oh man... if Liam had sang Mucky Fingers over this slow arrangement... it would have been life altering... "And aaaallll yeeeeer plastic beleeeeevuss will leeeeeevus and they wooooont retuuuuuuurnnnn!"
