No disrespect to my friends in Ontario. In fact, if I wasn't hell-bent on hopping the pond for a show on this tour I'd blow off the whole week and do V-fest and hit London on the way back.
But honestly... how long have we been waiting for some serious worldwide tour dates? The rumors of 2 nights at MSG and a residency at the O2 (I know they denied it, but rumors like that get one's hopes up for an epic tour) sounded exciting months ago.
Today we get ONE more show in Bumfuck, Canada announced ... woo-fucking-hoo.
Fucking get on with it guys.

I think they are trying to keep quiet about the whole album and tour dates thing so the expectation builds and it has more of an impact. But it just has the opposite effect: people lose interest.

besides bumfuck, Canada is still probably better than bumfuck, USA

the tour will start two months and a half from now so it's pretty safe to say that in the next month we'll get a lot of european and uk tour dates, an album title and a tracklist... stop whining, sit back and enjoy these next few weeks cos they'll be exciting!

I could be wrong, but more Canadian dates might mean a shitload more US dates than anyone expects. And I think we can all agree that would be terrific, at least to us US fans who could get more options to go see them live.
Who knows, at this rate they might be starting to book venues in Baghdad or the Republic of Congo...

They did 2 Florida dates for HC and none for DBTT....I had to head up to Atlanta.
They better come back here! After NYC, Florida has the most expats from the UK anyway.
Tampa would be nice to.....hows that! Largest metropolitan area in U.S. they haven't played yet! Radiohead was here, Coldplay was here The Cure is here Tuesday night and Pearl Jam w/ Kings of Leon is Wednesday.
C'mon Oasis!!

I'm hoping that they'll come back to the ACC later like they did last tour. Announcing a stand alone gig in Toronto would hurt V ticket sales. I'm completely befuddled about London though. The people at the John Labatt Centre must be doing something right, they are getting a lot of big name acts in there

JLC is owned and operated by the same people who handle the Spectrum in Philadelphia. London see's every big band come through the 10, 000 plus JLC due to that. 400,000 people in London by the way.
No disrespect, bumfuck, canada? Not sure you got the note, the world does not revolve around the USA, I know CNN would make you believe that. But again, no disrespect.
Take it easy

Take it easy You ought to "take it easy" before you jump to take offense. It just makes you sound like the stereotypical Canuck with an inferiority complex. I've got no real problem with them playing London. I do have a problem with the fact that since the last week of March when they announced V-fest and then most of the CA dates, we've got nothing more than the 1 additional date in a smaller city, only about 2.5hrs by car from a place they're already playing. Almost two months and a half since and still at 1 US date, now 8 Canadian dates, no euro/UK gigs and nothing anywhere else in the world either. Its frustrating to be waiting for a proper tour announcement and just have 1 smaller gig trickle out like this after so long. If you really want to quibble numbers, I can give a list of cities over 400K that have never had an Oasis show. And by the way, I personally don't watch much CNN and hardly think the world revolves around the US. On the other hand, I don't see very many international media outlets trying to convince anyone that the world revolves around Canada. (that previous statement was only directed at oversensitive members who took my original post as an attack on their national pride or whatever. For the rest of you, I love Canada, Canadians, and have thoroughly enjoyed my trips there)

Don't forget that this little Canadian leg is just a warm-up tour, hence why they are playing some of these "bumfuck" cities. They'll surely be back later on in the fall to do a proper tour. You'll all be excited when in a few months they announce a bunch of new dates.

I have no real problem with your comments other then the bumfuck comment and never took it as a pride shot. My comments were made to show, as your response did, it is impossible not to take that comment or a shot at your country personal. End of that.
But, I totally agree with you on the fact they are playing this obscure tour, but I can not complain as I am Canadian and will enjoy at least 2 of these shows.
However, how could someone from the best country in the world have an inferiority complex? Not possible. But thanks for caring.

Today we get ONE more show in Bumfuck, Canada announced ... woo-fucking-hoo. London, Ontario isn't exactly "Bumfuck, Canada", and yeah - offence taken. ,...and what's with the negative comments about Canada?? Per Capita, Canada sells more Oasis albums than any country other than the UK. So, why wouldn't they play here more than in, say, America where you're too busy listening to shit music? Take a look at your top 40 if you don't believe me.
