Oh, they won't be singles. And we should all be happy, because we heard the songs already.

I wouldn't be arsed. They're both OKAY songs, but neither are the instant classics people were hoping for or have been raving about. I agree. These songs are hardly oasis classics, despite what people are saying. I've said this before, but these songs would never make someone an oasis fan. A hot topic on this forum has been what it would take for oasis to be big in America again. Well, not these songs. Average songs, with quite frankly, uninspired, plodding melodies. There is a reason these songs were not included on DBTT. And based on the demos, there is no way these tracks are going to be included on a new album unless they are completely revamped. We are all Oasis fans, but it seems many are completely blinded by new material. If these songs were so great, they would have been included on DBTT. Simple as that. If Noel was convinced these songs were FUCKING MEGA, they would have worked it out. The reason they weren't on DBTT was because he DOES think they're mega. He held them back because he said he wasn't really satisfied with any of the versions they did...which obviously means he's willing to take a long time to get these songs right. But yea, obviously they must be shit if they didn't make the album. We know Noel's never left good songs off before What if you heard the demo for The Masterplan? Before all the orchestra sections, and all the backwards shit...I bet you probably would have said the same exact thing about that.

i hope their not on the album cause i have already heard em, but i wont get made if other versions of stop the clocks leaked .. cause i do think is great song. Record Machine i liked it a lot first but i think lacks something...still good dont get me wrong
I don't give a fuck if the average radio user likes the new oasis songs, couldnt care less... I even dont give a shit if you people like it or not,,, the only thing that matters to me is that i like it and that should go for all of you.
In my opinion people get deeply influenced from what other people say,, if the new albums gets 5star reviews people will will love it and if it get 2 stars all people will say is shit... simple as that.

Funny how people are using the demo status of these songs against them when the majority of their demos that we've heard since SOTSOG have been very close to the final version, with the exception of Hindu Times and Stop Crying Your Heart Out (not counting TIOBI, I believe that was a specially recorded acoustic version, recorded in 2005, for the single). Of the singles released from the last album, Lyla was just a Liam vocal over the demo, TIOBI was 98% the demo, as was Lord Don't Slow Me Down, and Let There Be Love was heavily based on it's demo.
That is, if these even are demos, there's nothing to say that these weren't recorded with Sardy as part of the DBTT sessions.

Couldn't these be 3 of the songs that were going to be included on the EP that they almost released in 2006? That's my theory anyway... it would explain why the stop the clocks lyric is present in the end of record machine, perhaps stop the clocks would open the EP and record machine would have closed it? with nothing on me and maybe 1 or 2 others (songs that did not leak because the leaker got scared after leaking the first 3) in between.

Stop The Clocks I like but it's not an Oasis classic. Record Machine is...especially if they make a grand, epic, orchestral album-ender in the vein of Champagne Supernova. I'll be bullshit if #1 it's not on the album and #2 it doesn't end the album.

That's true, and the vocal melody will probably be the same. But Noel also said they have lots of versions. Some are w/ drums, w/out, one is all electric, etc., so the final version could still be a lot different from this.

I have a feeling that The Boy with the Blues will be "All Around The World" on overdrive.

Nah, Record Machine is noway the finished article yet. Agreed. It is way too dry and pared down compared to Noel's multiple descriptions of it as being a 10-minute sprawling epic with 3 guitar solos. The version we have is very different to those comments by Noel.

It just has the same stripped down feel as the rest of DBTT...Personally I loved this version. I think STC could use ALOT more production

I think the only thing really missing on RM is the intro. I think they should do the same thing as they did on the AATW intro with an acoustic strumming the chords, and an electric just playing through softly. I love RM, but it's just a little bland up until the first chorus.

record machine DOES start out with soft acoustic guitar strumming the chords..... I think he means with the electric playing the same chords, just lower in the mix. Stand By Me also starts like that after the feedback

The version we have is very different to those comments by Noel. Well remember that comment about "10 minutes long and loads of guitar solos" comes from Autumn 2002, and the version we hear is likely from 2004. Maybe the whole BHN saga put him off those initial ideas.

Ok, sorry for dragging up the past a bit but do you people in the know think there are more demos out there to come? Are any of you in contact with the leaker. It wasn't really that Jamie Nicholas was it? I think that was just a joke by Bones/Lomax or whatever... they're all the same.

Personally I'd be glad if they are not on the new album.
There were some good ideas but the songs as a whole weren't "oasis" good in my opinion.
Noel has a good sense of quality control and probably let these leak to gauge opinion.
oasis have set a very high standard and these didn't cut it.
