I still think that at least RM will be included, but do you care if these two songs were left off? STC: I like the demo version, but it does need work, and remember we dont know which version we have. I would like it on the album, it's a very strong song, even in demo form, and would def not drag the album down. However, as long as Noel keeps working on it and officially releases it on an album eventually, it won't bother me if it's left off of this one. RM: This song is just fucking fantastic. Of course it needs work, but even if this demo was the released one, I think most of use would have been pleased - I know I would be. But if it's true, and it's 3 mins longer, with a few more guitar solos, then it's in epic territory. All Noel really needs to do is improve the lyrics -- mainly the "spit it out" line. I would be devastated if it's not on the album. It's way too good to be left off, and has way to much potential to be ignored. --- What I will say is that it'll bother me EVEN MORE is Noel relseases both songs as B-Sides, either now or the future. That's what I hate about Oasis - their quality b-sides: Masterplan, Acquisce, etc. If those were put on albums and officially released to the public (in a studio album form), Oasis would be even bigger worldwide. Hope Noel doesn't make the same mistake with STC and RM Either way, if both STC and RM aren't on the album, then I think we all have to believe that the songs included are even better. I don't see Noel doing another SOTSOG where he puts something like Little James on instead of LAMB. If the two songs aren't on it, and what they release is even better, we'll be blown away. Imagine a song better than RM on this album....I surely can't!

I agree that both of those tracks need to be released as A-sides on some album. I'd prefer the final versions to be released sooner (Sept 2008 album) rather than later (2011 album/2014 album).

initially I was really hoping that STC and RM made into the album (hell, even Nothing On Me), but now I guess my excitement about this songs it's just fading out... I guess I'm more curious about how those songs would sound with proper production.. But just the fact that we're getting eleven brand new songs and they seem to be very good it just get me more excited... I mean, thank God we heard STC before the album... it's such a relief to finally know the song... now we can move on! when DBTT came out we were all holding a little grudge about that, but this time there's no point..!
In other hand I wonder what is going to happen to these songs... i agree that they're to good to be b-sides, but if they wrote eleven songs that, in theory, sounds better, if they ever release them would it mean that this time they couldn't and had to use old songs?! it would feel freaking weird... In my opinion this songs should have been released in the STC dvd or something, cos now I'm pretty sure the band don't know what to do with them

Don't care, as long as the other tunes on the album are fantastic. Though I do like the idea of a double A side.

do them up all proper, orchestration and what have you, and release a double A-side single a la penny lane/strawberry fields before the album. If Noel doesnt put them on there, it would most likely be because they dont fit with the new tunes that well, so this would solve it, and we'd get to hear them live.

Anyone who ever thought STC might have been on the album are plain idiots. The only track of the three that ever stood a chance was/is Record Machine. Nothing On Me isn't good enough, Liams probably written 100 better tunes since. Stop The Clocks is the title of their greatest hits, of course it won't be on the next album. Would they release a track called Definitely Maybe now? No.

dont know why they wouldnt put them on the album. 12 songs is better than 10. no? record machine would definitely work as a cs type epic finish. stc is agood song, but really, i dont know what noel is hoping 4, rerecording it countless times. its a beautiful restrained song. unless im mistaken, i dont know if any version will suddenly elevate it to anything more...

I reckon Record Machine will definatley be a stand alone single, if not on the album (or could be with a different title and sound completely different), and I reckon that Stop The Clocks will be a B-side. Noel seems to put songs out based on their singalong factor. Wonderwall is easier to sing to than The Masterplan for example.

The DEMO of the song has received airplay here in the US...a place where some of their most recent successful singles haven't even been played. How in the world can you not jump at the opportunity to release this song?? It's the perfect single...retro but rockin, psychedelic but catchy, and that's just the demo! Who knows how much better is could sound with more work done on it. I hate when I read people say "oh well I've heard it before so I don't want it on the album." Well that's the dumbest fucking thing I've ever heard. The objective is put out the best album possible...not get the most unheard material out there. It's not Noel's fault you decided to download STC and RM. If those DESERVE to be on the new album, then I really hope they're there...regardless of the fact I've heard the demos already.

So Acquiesce is less of a sing-a-long tune than Some Might Say? Yeah. No it's not. Acquiesce actually has one of the catchier/poppy choruses they've ever had. "Because we NEEEEEED eachother, we BELIEEEEEEVE in one another." That's as poppy as it gets for them. Good tune, a bit overrated in my mind though

I wouldn't be arsed. They're both OKAY songs, but neither are the instant classics people were hoping for or have been raving about. Plus it would make me chuckle due to certain people on the forum saying "these will DEFINITELY be on the album" when the demos leaked, as if they had any real idea Either way, if they're on there then fine (though hopefully beefed up a bit) and if they're not but we get a top album, then equally fine.

LISTEN GUYS THESE DEMOS WERE RECORDED EVEN BEFORE DBTT!!!!! RM AND STC ARE BOTH ACOUSTIC SONGS THAT WOULD BOTH PROVE EXTREMELY DIFFICULT TO RERECORD AS PLUGGED IN AND STILL HOLD THEIR MAGIC. THIS ALBUM IS SUPPOSED TO BE HEAVY ROCK, NOT SHITTY WANNABE BEATLES RETRO DBTTESQUE KINDA STUFFTHE ONLY WAY WUD BE AS B-SIDES..... STILL, RM NEEDS TO A BIT FASTER IMO, IT DRAGS A BIT TOO MUCH TO COME ACROSS AS GOOD TO THE PUBLIC..... THIS IS WHAT IS WRONG WITH EVERYONE HERE, THEY THINK ALL THESE SONGS LIKE A BELL WILL RING COULD HAVE BEEN HUGE. AN AVERAGE JOE WHO LISTENS TO THE RADIO WOULDNT GIVE 2 SHITS FOR A SONG LIKE A BELL WILL RING AND TBH, I DONT REGARD STC MUCH HIGHER THANA BELL WILL RING, JUST A BIT MORE MAGICAL AND BETTER WRITTEN, BOTTOM LINE, STC OR RM WOULD NEVER REACH #1 IF THEY DID IT WOULD BE FAN POWER......NOTHING TO DO WITH IF ITS A GOOD SONG...... AFTER ALL.....THEY COULD RELEASE LITTLE JAMES AS A SINGLE AND IT WUD PROB GET #4...... ...SO DONT BOTHER ARGUING....... AND YES I AM A MASSIVE OASIS FAN BUT I AM ACTUALLY UNBIASED SO FUCK OFF IF YOUR GONNA CRITISICE ME 4 BEING HARSH

I wouldn't be arsed. They're both OKAY songs, but neither are the instant classics people were hoping for or have been raving about. I agree. These songs are hardly oasis classics, despite what people are saying. I've said this before, but these songs would never make someone an oasis fan. A hot topic on this forum has been what it would take for oasis to be big in America again. Well, not these songs. Average songs, with quite frankly, uninspired, plodding melodies. There is a reason these songs were not included on DBTT. And based on the demos, there is no way these tracks are going to be included on a new album unless they are completely revamped. We are all Oasis fans, but it seems many are completely blinded by new material. If these songs were so great, they would have been included on DBTT. Simple as that. If Noel was convinced these songs were FUCKING MEGA, they would have worked it out.

AN AVERAGE JOE WHO LISTENS TO THE RADIO WOULDNT GIVE 2 SHITS FOR A SONG LIKE A BELL WILL RING Exactly! Thank you. People just cannot seperate their love for a band from what would be popular on the radio. If you cannot tell the difference between DLBIA and ABWR, well, I'm sorr for you. And you know what it boils down to? The quality of the song. Simple as that. Oasis was most popular when, get this, they were writing quality songs.
