ok i'm pretty excited now. however, when DBTT was about to be released i remember listening to Radio 1 and Bowman coming on and i recall her exact qoute "i can tell you it IS a return to form". for me DBTT was pretty good and fairly consistent, but by no means brilliant. the words describing this are as though it's the re-birth of Oasis, as though they are going to be the tunes that define the new Oasis. obviously its just a little news story, but its positive, very positive! the fact that there is now a distinct possiblity that RM isn't on the album saddens me a little though. i thought that could have been fucking epic as an album opener as long as the first single shits on Lyla then we have a chance

(can you imagine a 10 min song opening an album?)

(can you imagine a 10 min song opening an album?) yeah i suppose you're right on that one, although d'you know what i mean is one of my favourite Oasis songs, still i think thats only about 7 and a half minutes! i just want that attitude to be back, BHN was brilliant for that.

Totally agree. except for the fact that RM would be a great closer for the album, not opener... (can you imagine a 10 min song opening an album?) Led Zeppelin pulled it off quite well on Presence. ;D

well "pete bones" has posted a tracklisting on his "mafia board" (really dumb name). who knows if it's utter bullshit or not, compliments of "jamie" and alleged blackmail victim "flomax"
Post from that weird board:::
Pete Bones here with another exclusive to the Mafia forum. Jamie has sent a copy of the final tracklisting for the album to Flomax. I was able to blackmail Flomax into giving it to me, by threatening to post his phone number online. Here it is, and don't forget to thank me for my efforts:
Be Shepherd Not A Sheep! Walk The Beaten Track Be With Me Life After Death The Only Way Out Is In Forged Friendship No One Knows Hym (correct spelling) Every Little Thing This Life Mr Who Streets Ahead Miles Behind Illicit Mantra (hidden)

Yeah, I think this is complete bollocks! Wasn't that bones guy the one who made up a story and tracklisting of the Be Here Now Mustique demos? And if that's a fact, it only strengthen the fact that this is pure bullshit!!!
On another note regarding the new album. I think we seem to have forgot about The Boy With The Blues. I stated somewhere that, after Stop The Clocks, this is my most anticipated unreleased Oasis song. I really hope it will be on the new album.

This is the 2nd mention of Streets ahead, miles behind.... What are the chances of that being true?

This is the 2nd mention of Streets ahead, miles behind.... What are the chances of that being true? Well I think it's the same site that came out with that title...so I don't put too much stock in it. However if true, thats an awesome album title.

Yeah, plus he fell in contradiction... in some post he claimed that the name of the album wasn't after any song in the album, and now he post that it is.... and how would he know about a hidden track!?!? there are so much useless people in this world....

What about the so called Oasis EP which was to be released in 2006?
Source: NME.COM
Noel says new material ain't good enough
Oasis have decided to pull the release of their forthcoming EP in the summer.
Speaking to Russell Brand on 6 Music, Noel Gallagher revealed that the band have shelved songs slated to appear on the mini-album because they weren't up to scratch.
He also said that Oasis are taking a break for the rest of 2006 after recently completing their world tour.
Noel added: "We had a couple of tracks left over from the last record and in our own heads we thought they were good enough to be released as an EP.
"We went back and listened to the tapes and we reckon we can get it better, so we're having the year off instead."
As previously reported on NME.COM the lead track on the EP was expected to be the Liam-penned 'The Boy With The Blues'.
But it's now unlikely to appear on any future Oasis release until at least 2008, when the band are due to make their return.
Maybe RM was originally for the ep... who knows..

There's your proof that that tracklisting is fake people. Saying that though, I do like the song. Would be a good opener to a record I reckon. All full on, with Liam's powerhouse vocals.

Everyone's a sceptic just because they didn't hear the news first. I don't get it. We all thought Nothing on you was bollocks made up by the sun and the lyrics to record machine were false. Just wait and see...

noel from talksport june 15:
Some direct quotes:
Release: "Towards the end of September."
Name of the album: "It's the one album title I didn't come up with the name of because I couldn't think of one."
The radio personality says it's "up there with some of the best work you guys have ever done" and that it "sounds like the old Oasis."
Noel again: "Not for girls." "It's rockin'... I don't know if it will fly off the store shelves like the new Coldplay album... but it will sound great when we play it live."
"I might even get you [the radio guy] one of the special edition copies."

It all sounds very encouraging but I'm going to remain cautious. Sorry but I absolutely love oasis and have eveything they have recorded including some japanese imports but for me nothing since BHN has really cut it for me. Yes they have been excellent (better than most bands output) but I know what oasis are capable of (well DM MG, TMP and Whatever),
I remember Colin Murray saying similar things about DBTT but although it was probably the best since BHN it wasn't THE oasis.
So It sounds good but this time I'm going to expect nothing and maybe I'll be surprised.

This is going to be VERY interesting. I'm dying to see how a record could be "rockin" yet still be psychedelic as Gem described it a couple months ago.
