Really interesting article. I think it's funny that Noel told Jarvis you can string together any nonsense and be fine, when Noel is in fact one of the best at doing just what Jarvis is talking about. Noel's lyrics don't always make much sense, and just like "Heroes," he has a way of using vaguely uplifting messages in combination with the music to sell the song completely. I still think the way "Where were you while we were getting high" works in rhythm and melody with the music around it makes it one of the best lines ever. I think Noel has a talent for this kind of thing that he probably doesn't even think about.
