18 songs, in a decent, somewhat flowing order too. What do you reckon?
1.) Lord Don't Slow me Down 2.) Pass me Down the Wine 3.) Lets All Make Believe 4.) One Way Road 5.) Carry Us All 6.) Shout it Out Loud 7.) Spaceman 8.) The Fame 9.) Flashbax 10.) Whatever 11.) I Can See It Now 12.) Full On 13.) Solve My Mystery* 14.) Stop the Clocks* 15.) Record Machine* 16.) Idler's Dream 17.) Sad Song 118.) Who Put the Weight of the World on my Shoulders
Note: *Are songs that could appear on a future album, but as we stand now don't so hence the inclusion on this list
I burnt this exact playlist to a CD, and its perfect for driving. Amazing amazing collection. And I believe these 18 tracks are better than the 1998 Masterplan collection

Good, but they wouldn't put a pre-98 song on there

the only problem is there are too many songs sung by Noel... feels weird having Liam singing only a few... and if use only pos-98 songs you'll end up using basically all b-sides from that period...

My sister Lover or the album should not be released.

Here is an idea. Why not make "The Masterplan 2" into a rarities album? I mean, there are some b-sides after 2000 that don't deserve to be on a new Masterplan album.
Why not instead release a couple of demos/alternative versions from Heathen Chemistry and Don't Believe The Truth? We all got the Lord Don't Slow Me Down version with Liam on vox, makes me wanna hear Force Of Nature and Mucky Fingers as well with him on the vox to!
Imagine acoustic versions of Turn Up The Sun (The one in the menu on the Lyla dvd single is great!), and Born On A Different Cloud?
I would definitely buy this, but, I have a strong feeling they are saving that stuff for a rarities box set some time in the future. Maybe that's what they're gonna call it though? The Masterplan 2 ;D

Liam vocals on "Force of Nature"... could be absolutely amazing. Does anyone think with enough persuasion, or maybe if a fan met him after a show, they could convince Liam to give Force of Nature a go? I can only imagine how sweet it would sound. But if by some chance a fan got this message across to Liam it would probably go in one ear and out the other, that or else they just wouldnt be bothered, we'll be lucky if we see Heathen Chemistry resurrected at all never mind something as farfetched as rerecording an old song.

I wouldn't think they'd have to re record the song. I'm pretty sure there's got to be a recorded version of that song with Liam on vox. Just like there was a version of Lord Don't Slow Me Down with Liam on vox. What I like to hear most, though, is a Liam version of Don't Look Back In Anger. I think that would be amazing!

Amazing amazing collection. And I believe these 18 tracks are better than the 1998 Masterplan collection They wouldn't even THINK of putting out unreleased tunes on a B-sides compilation. Pointless to even consider that they would. Noel wouldn't do it on a Best Of, he sure as hell wouldn't do it on a collection of B-sides. Personally I don't think there will ever be a Masterplan II. In some ways this is a good thing as the standard of the band's B-sides has dropped quite a bit since BHN. Back in the '90s we were guaranteed at least 2 or maybe even 3 classics per single (look at Some Might Say, Cigs & Alcohol). Nowadays we get throwaway shit like The Quiet Ones. The first blip was Stand By Me. (I Got) The Fever and My Sister Lover are well below par, compared to Noel's earlier B's. Even he admitted in an interview with NME that "those two were shit". Best B-side since BHN is still Let's All Make Believe. Nothing Noel has written for a B-side - or that Liam has delivered on vocally - comes anywhere near it.

I don't agree with liam singing FON... it's that simple, he would NEVER do the chorus like Noel does... even in his best, Liam would do the "stashhhh" part a lot shorter a not nearly as high as Noel... I agree that he sounds good on LDSMD, but Noel rules that... I mean if it was released with Liam's voice, and then, a Noel version was caught in the internet, people would just went crazy... I believe that should sing maybe Mucky Fingers, that would sound nice, but Force Of Nature is pure Noel.... actually it would sound pretty cool if they split verse/chorus like in Acquiesce....

That may be so, but my personal opinion is that Force Of Nature would be a lot better if Liam sung it. The song itself would have become much more important to. I think this song has actually gotten a lot of undeserved heat. It's a good rocking song, but my feeling is that Liam would have elevated it up a few steps.

Force Of Nature would sound kinda shit with Liam singing. The verses suit him but in the chorus it would go from "staaaaaaaaaash" to "stash-a". It's probably too high for him anyway.
