Given the leak of the demos during the DBTT sessions anyone mess around with an alternate DBTT? By that I don't necessarily mean better but a what could have been scenario. Here's mine:
Turn Up the Sun- Studio Version, they got it right.
Lord Don't Slow Me Down (Liam)- I love Lyla but these two songs are pretty similar. Remember.. I said alternate not better. This is great tune though. Reiterates why Liam is so important to the band.
Mucky Fingers- good tune
Love Like a Bomb- alternate version. Seems to have a little more going on.
Idle- perfect the way it is
Nothing on Me- Could have replaced Meaning of Soul on the album
Guess God Thinks I'm Abel- Love it
Part of the Queue- One of Noel's recent best
Keep the Dream Alive - I like it, I know others do not.
A Bell Will Ring- Alternate version because it screams Tomorrow Never Knows.
Stop the Clocks- I'm sure that the version that eventually gets released will be much different. This version is a suitable closer for the album. Might have been cool with some backing vocals from Liam ala Fade Away (Warchild). I like Let There Be Love but the demo had more substance to me and something got lost when they finished it.
Other thoughts??

I always thought Meaning of Soul was a shite song. Still think that in fact. It might be a good b-side, but why it's on the album I'll never know. Maybe Noel lost a bet?

When the same was done with SOTSOG and HC there were many changes made. Here with DBTT it's pretty much the same lineup....I think that speaks volumes for this quality album.
