I was thinking which newer songs sound the most like that old in your face Oasis, and every song I came up with was a Gem song (Hung In a Bad Place, Eyeball Tickler, A Bell Will Ring). It's kinda funny considering he wasn't even in the band back then. Why do you think this is? You agree?

He's capable of writing fooking tunes, that's for sure. I'd stop short of comparing them to early Oasis, though. I reckon The Hindu Times was the last song that truly captured that sound.

I didn't mean his songs are as good as early Oasis, but I think they really capture that attitude their music had back then

I have no idea why Eyeball Tickler didn't make DBTT love that riff.

Exactly! I'd actually go as far as to say the way Liam sings that tune truly represents the swagger he walked with in his best days. I mean he's still got the swagger but atleast he really backed it up then. Now Liam's just Liam.

Eyeball Tickler is great, and the demo is even better. Love Liams voice, the riff, everything

you'll love heavy stereo then. Yeah... Cartoon Moon is a terrific Oasis song! For those who haven't heard it... here's the rare acoustic version... www.mediafire.com/?ddhkbkw53xj

I reckon Andy Bell has made the most retro oasis sounding song so far, Turn up the Sun.
