They are "PYMWYMI" bad The Title "I want to live in a dream in my record machine" sounds so cool, sounds like it would be a unique song, but those lyrics posted are pure crap - i hope for it's not true

I kinda like the lyrics... They seem like something Noel would have written in the 90's, and they make me think of Flashbax

I think it's too early to judge the lyrics... I mean, if you read a few years ago that the chorus of a song would be "someday you will find me caught beneath a landslide, in a Champagne Supernova in the sky", would you approve??? Of course, once you hear the song it sounds bloody awesome...

With Oasis, it's really about the music and attitude, not the words

Lol ;D. We were just making a point here, the lyrics aren't bad at all in my opinion... they remind me a little of Just Getting Older... and they actually fit the title...

Guess it shows you how special songs like Live Forever and Slide Away really are I read through the lyrics again, it's not as bad as i intially though -- although the "curls" line is still horrible, but as long as it sounds good - if this rumor is even true - then all will be forgiven lol

i hate the fact that the Gallaghers have kept their mouths shut... yeah me too. and that's why I think this album will be so special. they're usually so outspoken and every new album they release is "the best since DM". This time around it's different, they're not talking about it, they've been so quiet...

if this is the title of the new album it's SHIT..... Only DM, WTSMG and SOTSOG are cool names, the others are shite! Be Here Now is the greatest album title ever.... and i almost couldn't buy Definitely Maybe because the title was so bad What is so great about Be Here Now? If you are going to buy an album based on the title you are a fucking idiot.

The only thing to do is not get all hyped about it. If you expect to get let down and something actually does happen, then you're going to be all like, "OMG! NEW ALBUM RELEASE TOMORROW!"

"I remember the ways, the short handed praise the smiles, the thrills the girls with short curles" FUCK OFF RIGHT NOW. Noel Gallagher would NEVER write such gay lyrics like that. You're an idiot mate spells a bit like Noel though ;D "all that you can inspire to"? um shouldn't that be aspire to?

I mean, it's just hard seeing either Liam or Noel singing these two lines: "the sound of the beat, the sound of the drums" and "the smiles, the thrills the girls with short curls" I mean, not only are those two parts lyrically weak, i just find it hard picturing either of the brothers singing it HOWEVERI do like this: "I remember the ways, the short handed praise the smiles, the thrills the girls with short curls the days, the nights the never known frights I remember the lies, the goads i despise the fights, the people, the earth & all that you can inspire to be" (other than the "curls" part, obviously) Now that to me is VERY Oasis like, it fits perfectly with Noel's writing style I kinda like the lyrics... They seem like something Noel would have written in the 90's, and they make me think of Flashbax That's a VERY good point mate, and I now tend to agree with you. When I read over the lyrics to Flashbax and Fame, it's pretty weak (well, Fame is anyway), however I LOVE both So, as many have said already, it comes down to the sound. The lyrics aren't "Little James" bad, I was just initially disappointed it wasn't another Live Forever (my expecations are sky high for this album) This song, if you go by what Noel has said, this is an "epic" in the sense of length, big sounds, and guitar solos (All Around The World/Champagne Super Nova type of thing). If this is true, then it could very well be monumental Oh, and yes, chances are these lyrics are BS. However, since it's all we have right now, I'll take it. Adds to the excitement. This is the best part of the last 3 years - speculation *To the original poster: If this is a false rumor, that's fine. However, if you yourself made it up, that's pathetic. Get a life. Also, with a little bit of work (ie, 'Curls') you have the potential to make something out of yourself musically, so there's allways that Cheers

With Oasis, it's really about the music and attitude, not the words Is it wrong for me to like the lyrics? Not at all, I'm just pointing out how everyone's throwing so much criticism at some of their lyrics, yet the words were even dumber back in the DM and WTSMG days. Doesn't mean they're not amazing songs. Just like we don't know if these latest lyrics may turn out to be the biggest song on the album. Like someone else said, who woulda thought "The sink is full of fishes/Cuz she's got dirty dishes on the brain" would be a #1 single. You never know...There's no use splitting hairs when we don't even have music to the words yet (assuming the words are even real)

Honestly, sitting here and saying that those lyrics are shit is kind of weird, isn't it? I mean, think about it, it's not like Oasis are known for their lyrical prowess. If you just see the lyrics, without thinking about the song and the melody and the music to go along with it, some of their best songs are total shit lyrically.
