His name is David Brent (played by Ricky Gervais) From the hit BBC comedy 'The Office', its very,very funny!! www.bbc.co.uk/comedy/theoffice/It has won LOADS of awards, including 2 golden globes. And noel performs on one of the songs in the extras of the christmas special Ricky Gervais “He [Gallagher] came to my gig 'Politics' at the Palace Theatre." Gervais explained, and he came back stage and starts chatting about a quote in Q magazine saying one of his songs sounds like David Brent's ‘Free Love Freeway’, so he said how does that go? I sang it, and he went ‘Oh, that's shit’, and I said ‘That's an insult. I'm recording that for the DVD’ and he went ‘Wow, can I come down and do backing vocals?' I said ‘Yes’ and I phoned him on the Monday and asked if he was serious. “He turned up and did a blinding job. He's a lovely bloke as well. I was quite intimidated because I really like Oasis. There are few people you meet where you think Oh God I used to play your records and you actually admire them. He's no Ben Elton mind you, but he does his best."
