Noels quote when asked about the new album: "Less songy more grooves" Gem and Liam used the words Rocking and Pyschodellic..
Oh dear seriously worried here sounds horrible, I hope I'm wrong.
Not sure what "Less songy more grooves" means so any examples of what he's on about. ...

They did see the Led Zep concert late last year so maybe that's what he means. Whole Lotta Love, Kashmir and most of their other material is riff/groove based. So if this is what he means then it could be colossal.
IMO SOTSOG was a dirge though so I hope they don't go down that route again

So in one breath you say you're worried about what's being said, and in the next you say you don't know what the fuck they're on about? How does that work? To me grooves and Oasis is Columbia - if the songs are in that vein I'll have a big shit eating grin on my face. Gem saying it's rocking without there being too many chords seemed to me to be insinuating that it isn't overblown in production like BHN. Basically they seem to be making sure they don't give too much away so we should just kick back and wait - the truth will out.

OK I agree I am contradicting myself. But When I hear musicians talk about "Grooves" they are usually hip-hop, rap or dance artists. Its not exactly a rock n roll thing to say. If he means riffs then OK and as someone said Led Zeps songs all rely on infectious riffs. Just when he talks about grooves it doesn't fit well with me.
Time will tell. I'll buy it regardless on the first day of release anyway..
