Is the recording any good? I have a recording of him doing Bittersweet Symphony that I believe is from that gig. The only problem is that it sounds like it was recorded from a very long distance, ant that there is a guy standing right next to the mike and shouting out at Noel during the song. Really annoying!  Also, I forgot to include Take Me Away on my list. I really like that song. It has a really good melody! However, I have the general feeling that its not very well liked? |

The Japanese guy is sooooooo annoying, if he's EVER heard that recording, then there's no way in hell he ever shouted "Baayyy, bayyy, bayyyyyy" ever again!! ha ha Not a great recording, nope, but I've kinda gotten used to ignoring that tit ha ha Take Me Away is a complete classic, i love that song The version from Barca is excellent, as are others, beautiful song To be honest, there are loads of Noel's songs that are largely ignored, due to the quality of songs he has written throughout the years, and yeah, I agree, TMA is most definitely not given the recognition that it deserves. |

props for this guys in love with you. great cover. Been listening to it a lot lately ^^^^^^^ I keep asking if anyone has a video of this?   I'd love to see it as well as hear it. I'm a great fan of Noel's voice and I know some say it whines a bit sometimes - but I think it's just getting better and better. I wonder if the Inspirals have been kicking themselves ever since they turned him down???  Here's my choice. Never seen a video version of this, I doubt if one exists, although I'd love to see it if it did I never understood why he was personally disappointed with his performance, I thought he was incredible. People that say Noel's voice "whines" don't have a clue!! His voice is my favourite to listen to of all time and he sings his songs in the way they were meant to be sung. Noel singing, playing acoustic guitar - musical perfection He was wayyyyyyyyyyyyy too good for the Inspiral Carpets, anyway, never, ever liked them!! |

I'm not saying live versions shouldn't be counted I'm just saying I've considered album versions because it's easier to make a selection for me I used to collect bootlegs and such but I've kinda stopped doing that and I don't pretend having a great bootleg knowledge either Lots of people here are more knowledgeable than me  That's why I didn't use them |
