Real Madrid have denied Spanish media reports that coach Fabio Capello was planning to leave the club this week. Spain's Cope radio station said Capello would sit on the bench for Tuesday's Champions League match against Bayern Munich before leaving the club.
"We were very surprised by the reports that appeared in the media," club spokesman Miguel Angel Arroyo said.
"It hardly contributes to the right atmosphere on the eve of such an important match as tomorrow's game."
Arroyo added: "Reports like this only serve to destabilise the club and we'd like to express our surprise and dismay about this type of report.
"In this world you can assure very few things, but I can guarantee that that the board has not received any resignation from Fabio Capello either verbally or in written form."

there are many troubles there the president and mijatovic told the press how much it would cost to cut capello now (16 million €) and it might be free at the end of season, so capello got upset and talked with mijatovic when he knew that info. rumours spread and that radio said he would leave soon. I dont think he lasts, the president is just waiting the right moment to take him out without paying much. capello has lost the support of all the media and the supporters

I've been watching La Liga for about 8 years now and I have to say I'd seen RM play as bad as they've done this season. that's Capello's fault.
I also think he's been buying players that aren't good enough for RM. Gago and Higuain are good players but they're not worth the amount of money they paid and they're not good enough for RM. Maybe in 3 or 4 years they will be, but not right now. Diarra has been awful and the fans don't like him. Emerson, Cannavaro and Ruud are ageing so it wasn't a very clever decision to buy them.
Even if Capello quits RM will have a lot of trouble making a decent team with the players they have right now.
