didnt say you were jealous our players are better clearly you are jealous cos U WERENT THERE-ergo no team to cheer (AAAAAAAHHH poor sod) ergo slag us simple post again when u make a major tourney  So that means we should be "Jealous" about Ecuador, Costa Rica, Saudis just coz they made the tournament? I dont think so. Course i wanted Ireland to be there, Pissed-off is what I am not being there, not jealousy well if you look at it like that.......... im sure you are you have a shite team makes no major tourneys so you slag other teams at leaast those teams made it thru qualifying groups which frankly you would not have face it you slag england cos we are more succesful  |

define success? yes you are more successful than ireland, but Rep. of Ireland have only had a "soccer" team since the sixties (the height of Englands trimupth). You have 11 times plus the talent to choose from. Offically Football Assosation is behind Gaelic Football, Hurling and (maybe)Rugby in our country, so i'd be worried if England were doing worse than us. I know we don't have the best team, but England should. yous "invented it" supposedly . Probally the best player in Premiership history was Irish, don't think any country would not want Keano in there team (except for Ireland  ), and what would you give to have Duffer running down your left wing? Even Robbie up front or Shay in Goal. These are only a handfull of what this country produced better than most english players in there postition. The main reason I didlike England national team is because of the media/pundits/fans building themselves up as the best thing ever when clearly they are not, they should be up there, but their shite. Oh and by the way, the teams that qualifield instead of us were Switzerland, the only team never to conced a goal in a World Cup Finals and France. well they have been shit, only making it to the final. (not that i'm making excuses, we should be there) |

i agree you were in a tough groupwith some great teams (i am part swiss and rate
them massively)
but i just dont get this "hate england glad they are out " shit
we always root for other home nations when we are not playing and i still dont see why you cant do the same
as for media hype etc have you ever lived abroad? or been abroad for a long while ahead of a big tourney? most countries hype their teams and why shouldnt they?
personally i have never said we are the best team in the world and i ceratinly dont judge on former glory
of the teams in this world cup only the 2 finalists plus germany and possibly argentina REALLY played well enough, consistently enough to justify winning it
but it doesnt mean i am not pissed off that england are out and i still believe the ref over-reacted to the rooney episode
roll around euro 2008!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Fuck it!! we always root for other home nations when we are not playing and i still dont see why you cant do the same I really believe it's an inferiority complex, similar to how New Zealanders won't support Australia... Not unusual in any walk of life really, underdog attitude (.......got to add that i was cheering for england myself, but maybe not to go all the way and win it, that'd be too much! ) i still believe the ref over-reacted to the rooney episode Rooney stamped on a man's balls for pete's sake! marr i know there aint nout personal in it, its just arguing about football and that my friend is healthy. thier still shit though lol
and i thinks its okay for teams to hype thier chances up slightly, but england do go overboard, and the problem is, englands hype is imposed on to us, we get the exact same media as you, the same tv radio and newspapers, so when john mottson near pisses himself everytime england get the ball into the opponents half, we have to listen to it.

I said before the tournament England had no chance and I was proved right.
Lack of ideas.
Too many individuals, not a good team.
And Sven as a manager.
Not once did England excite me that whole tournament. Would of been an injustice for them to go any further than they did. It wont get any better with McCalren in charge either.

because referees usually dont have the right level for important matches, and players try to take advantadge of that. it's that simply, old diver ;D
