Hargreaves played out of his fucking skin! He was a fucking hero today and I take back every bad word I've said about him.

The English fans in the stadium were absolutely brilliant today though.

Hargreaves played out of his fucking skin! He was a fucking hero today and I take back every bad word I've said about him. Same here, and I really f*ckin slated the lad a lot!!! Rooney can't complain about the red card.... he stamped his foot into Carvalho's balls, and it seems like he knew he was doing it too (though we'll never be sure of course), ...violent conduct is a red card England played well, deserved to win...... But what is it with you guys and world cup penalties?!?? I don't see Portugal making the final, they looked very poor, especially in the final third

Im glad to see England play with heart once we went down to 10 men. I thought it was the first time we have shown it in this tournment. Portugal never looked particularly strong thourghout the game. I was stunned by Hargreaves drive and determination he has gained alot of respect out of today's match. As for the penalties I personally think Gerrard and Lampard have totally underperformed this World Cup so there misses were of no great surprise. It is a harsh way to go out, but penalties are a major part of the game . I hope Maclaren can prove he was the right choice for the job, throughout this tournement he has shown the same apathy as Sven.

I think that I, as a fan of Bavaria Munich, am the only one who's always exalted Hargreaves.

I think that I, as a fan of Bavaria Munich, am the only one who's always exalted Hargreaves. I think the problem is we don't know enough about him , and previously he's been fairly mediocre for England. Maybe if we had less Spanish football on TV here and more German we would also exalt him.

We were the better team over the 120 minutes. We didn't trouble Ricardo but we had more good chances than Portugal. They had nothing today. We didn't play great at al but with 10 men we picked up after Rooney's sending off and fought well. Roney was unlucky, i think he stepped on Carvalho's bollocks because it was such a mess and he was unfortunate. Rooney should hang vaginaiano ronaldo on the peg in the old trafford dressing room and kick the shit out of him. Their whole team are a bunch of diving vaginas. Our penalties were hopeless. Why does Lampard never go top corner, gerrard should have copied his fa cup penalty, and as soon as Jamie had to re-take his penalty i knew he'd miss. At least Beckham won't be at the next world cup. He didn't exist in the first half apart from a few shitty set pieces. Lennon is the future, 1 minute after coming on he almost set up a goal and was a huge threat, he is top class, Hargreaves was MOM and no-one should boo him ever again after today, he was fantastic, like our defence. Sven Goran Eriksson's reign is over, and it has been mixed, maybe more of a failiure. On one hand, he's by far our best manager statistically since Alf Ramsey. On the other hand, every time in big tournements we cock up against the big sides, and with our squad for this world cup we should have got to the semis as a minimum. It's probably more of a failiure i guess. I predict in 12 months we will be wishing sven was still here though, cos with Steve Mclaren, the worst is yet to come. Bring on the Premiership!

I can only think of Cuba who rate baseball as their national sport.
Face it. Football is the world sport. No-one gives 2 shits about Baseball and American Football apart from America and about a max of 5 other countries.

Hey shit heads I don't think he meant that baseball is popular around the world
"There is no crying in baseball" was a quote from the movie "A league of their own" I think he was just poking fun at the crybabies at the end of the match

Japan, Puerto Rico, the Dominican Republic, Cuba, Panama, Venezuela, Nicaragua, South Korea, and Taiwan. Really not every country but it's popular. It's a very nice game too. And well... Football doesn't really always unite the world, look at the aftermath of Argentina vs Germany.
