I propose a preparty in the parking lot the day of the gig. Just some tunes, Boddingtons, Stellars and some other party mix concoctions. So whos down?

my best m8 wants to do this , he also drinks boddingtons and stellas as well.
he's a geordie and lives a mile away from the del ray and needs a ticket. he's a bit short on cash, cos he is in b/t jobs. he is looking to swap collectables he has i.e. union jack guitar, bootlegs, shirts, etc for a tic.
any ideas pls post.
he is upset cos he is truly mad for it and may not be able to go ?
I am prayin he scores on ebay, something reasonable. or the day of the gig someone is kind and gives him a good price for a single tic.
hope you got one for the missus. I know you will have a grande time !

The El Rey is just the place to pick up the tickets Anyway back to the nature at hand, fuck that party mix, I only remember half of that Hollywood Bowl gig cos of it. Now, as for the Geordie, tell him to clear his schedule, as surely he will get a great price ticket the day of the gig. TRUST. |

Parking lot is decent for the amount of people going to the gig. Closest bar is the Cabo Cantina & Qs on Wilshire and Westgate. Cabo has 2x1 drinks from 4pm -8pm its a total frat boy place. The cloesest pub is on Wilshire and 26th, Sunny McLeans, nice joint Boddingtons and tap, stellas the lot, just NO HARD booze and on a thursday is not a nice drive back to the wadsworth. I take that drive of wilshire in Santa Monica through Westwood to Beverly Hills for the past 6yrs and thursdays are a MAJOR nightmare. I strongly urge you to add an extra 30min to your commute, that whole area by the wadsworth is the worst, as the 405FWY is close to it, and theres not too many sidestreets to take because of the Veterans Hospital, UCLA and the Veterans cemetry

Hello, you may remember me and a couple of friends from the hollywood bowl parking lot. Good times. Anyway coming with 3 friends. Keep me in the loop. Can't believe I haven't been to the Wadsworth but perfect show for the 1st time. Keep me in the loop on the pre-party details. I'm not familiar with the wadsworth parking tailgaiting sitch but read they do allow picnicing outside so booze in cups at the least sounds doable.

since its first come first serve it might be a better idea to do this infront of the entrance or even meet up way before the doors open and go to a bar or something. i wouldnt be suprised if nobody showed up until 5 or so. i'll probably be there around 2 and depending on if anyones there will set camp in a bar. if enough people meet up before we might be able to talk the owner of a close bar into playing oasis.

Jill, I think we encountered this for the san diego show. pony's are only available in domestic brews. otherwise it is 12.5 gallons and up. I could be wrong, but that is what bevmo had. Let's keep it simple, I am bringing some good beer and maybe a premium bottle of something.
