follow this for a min. if you are bored...
I saw oasis at MSG/NYC and baltimore area gig .. 1.) anyway.. MSG was a priviledge IMO and I had a fucking grande time at the L4E meet up... it was an ALL-NIGHTER- amuck in the city that never sleeps !
2.) the baltimore area show was a BLITZFEST in my experience (where my seats were) ! the booze was flowing and everyone was fucking mad ferrit ! Liam was dancing and calling us wankers and vaginas - noel was chatty (FOR NOEL) - playing guitar over his head... giving us 2 thumbs up.. great ! NOT MANY SITTING AND we were screaming every word to every song !
now.. I have been looking at the UK and Ireland tour.. I want to but it aint gonna happen ...cardiff would be mega or dublin (sold out)
I seem to not want to go to any of the 2006 shows ? like why wreck it ? my memories of this tour seem to be "as good as it gets" cos of the new material/shows and the SUCCESS of the lads in the states this time around ! I am so proud !
thought about nashville.. cos it's nashville.. but nah ... Am I not mad ferrit ? hhmmm...
counterpoints welcomed...

I can see your point of view. I went to MSG, also at the L4E preparty (then became a forum member after that) hit up tweeter and Philly. Flew back home to Los Angeles, then hit Frisco, Hollywood, San Diego and ended it in Vegas right up front of Noel. Now I find myself going to Nashville and eventually gonna get tix for cincy. Could I do without these two gigs? well yes, I am not any less madferrit but you got to do it for the adventure. ask yourself, WWLD (what would liam do?)

im going to the dublin gigs, which will be mega. im sure cardiff will be great.
the thing to remember is they won't be back for 5 years or so. so i'll got to as many shows as i possibly can while they're feeling it.

Tam, save your money and come to the next summer stadium gigs in the UK. Probably in about 3 years, if the band is still together. ;D
Youve not really experienced Oasis, until youve seen them standing amongst 50,000 other pissed up people jumping on each other. ;D

Tam-bourine,
I don't recall meeting you. I had been new to the L4E thing and I had just coincidentally found out about it because calioasis informed me of it. I met the webmaster, a british couple, the guy with the cardiff shirt (saying easy, easy, easy all night) the guys from costa rica.
UK is still gonna be years away to save up for, that is why I'm going to nahsville

... if the band is still together. THIS is why you should take in as many shows as you can now. Because you just never know. We all know how volatile this band is, and while we all expect them to keep going for the next 10 years, would any of us honestly be shocked if there was a bust up and didn't do anything in the next 3, 4, 5 years or longer. I know I wouldn't. Go to a show. You don't want to look back down the road and wish you had done one more when you had the chance, but passed.

hope all is well in Mass. Connecticut. But who's keeping track, right? You should do at least one of the shows. I'm waiting for the rest of the dates to be announce and hope there's one closer to New England. Can't excatly make my way out to Nashville or Milwaukee!

Why are u askin Tam? Did someone actually question ur madferit-ness??? U sound like a huge fan to me...I personally wouldn't stretch my bank account any further for an out of town gig...The farthest I'll go would be either NJ or Philly. Ive seen em 13x since 1996...For me, its not about the numbers...Its about the experience. Tempting as those new tour dates sound, Im also very broke after 4 Oasis gigs this year plus many, many other gigs. I'll just wait for a NY or NJ show coz I highly doubt those 2 will ever break up. Liam loves to bask in the limelight while Noel has a VERY expensive alimony check he needs to write every month!

Hey TAm, hope all is well. Tam, take it from me... if you have ANY desire to go to a gig, GO.... I almost didn't go the Narrows gig at Staten Isle, but thankfully kalas (I KNOW YOU'RE OUT THERE SOMEWHERE GEEZER) talked me into it... As a result, the wife and I partied with kalas, lions, and castle all day, I got to shake Liam's hand and get his autograph, simply put I HAD THE TIME OF MY LIFE. If you want to go to a gig, like zun said, who knows IF ANF WHEN they will be back.... take it in now luv... for this may never come again... and you will be stuck saying "what if".... maybe the gig you don't go to would have been the gig that you would have finally met Noel... just some food for thought.

zun.. If I go see the lads I hope they do "franklin's tower", "feel like a stranger" then go into a wicked "china cat sunflower"... oops ! wrong band ! ;D "Things are going to get crazy, let's get on with the show!" ;D But seriously, give some consideration to going. You just never know. Like Queenie said, go for the experience. Besides how many Oasis fans could be in Nashville compared to say, NYC? You're odds of meeting Noel are greater!

I know Noel can speak out his ass but he has said repeatedly that he doesn't know anything else but oasis... so ? yeah the money.. for me it's the time too.. plus I have 2 major trips coming up, back to NYC in Feb for a smashed/blocked/reaction 60's party, the florida keys in Feb and london this summer so.. cheers, hope the studies are going alright..

A side note, that Baltimore gig was fuckin mad. I'm only 17 and it was my first time seeing the lads, and they were fuckin top I'll tell ya that. I'm definitely considering a road trip to Nashville from the Washington DC area to go see them again, if they don't play around here. What do you all think? How long does it take to get to Nashville from DC? I have to trek down across the entire Virginia state..
