I'm not saying Oasis don't "deserve" to play the Ryman, that's not my call... I don't really think it fits is all.
The Ryman is the home of country music and I mean REAL country music, the kind that gave birth to rock n roll, not the crap on the radio today... there's just so much history there. I dont know, I was excited because this is without a doubt the best venue in the WORLD but it's just not an Oasis venue....
They really should have played the Exit/In, it holds almost the same amount of people, general admission, has a ton of history and is a great rock n roll place...
oh well, nothing we can do about it now... I just hope they surprise us with something special, this place deserves it.

I love Nashville, and I love Oasis, let me just say that first. I've loved them for 9 years now. HOWEVER... I really wish they hadn't chosen the Ryman. Call me sentimental, but I don't think it's the kind of place they should be playing. This is the place that brought country music to the world - the same music heard by Elvis, Johnny Cash, Carl Perkins, Jerry Lee Lewis, the people that created Rock N Roll with a blend of country and black music... I dont know I just dont think the history of the Ryman and the types of performers that have played her lends this venue to Oasis. I think if you play the Ryman you'd better appreciate it's history and the privelage it is to play there. It fits for Ryan Adams, it even fit for Kings Of Leon who are from Nashville and definitely appreciated it... I dont know maybe Oasis will prove me wrong, we'll see... I think Noel, Gem and Andy do appreciate the history. I'm sure they'll be aware of it, if not already.

Im not convinced these presales are all that great. They only release a certain number of the tickets. The milwaukee show had two different presales, neither of which had the best tickets (first few rows) on sale. And I did log in the second they went on sale. Hopefully there will be some left for the regular sale that starts tomorrow. (my third time trying to get the good seats for this show). I just dont get how everyone on here manages to get in the first few rows. I will probably have to go through brokers to get in the front. I love paying $150+! If I have it wrong, someone enlighten me please. I hope Im missing something

Pre-sale seats are set aside ahead of time, and only a certain allotment. Radio presales usually have crappy seats. The venue pre-sale for Milwaukee had poor seats from what I noticed. But through Oasisinet I seemed to get pretty good seats this time around. Keep in mind there is usually a lot of traffic for presales, so luck plays a role. I know how it feels paying brokers. I dropped $500 for front rows in Baltimore and Cleveland.

I dont think the "fan club" email list pre-sales had more than 50 sets of tickets on sale to be honest. Maybe less. I never have trouble getting tickets online when they go on sale, I'm usually first 10 rows, but I was on at 8:29am when the Ryman ones went on and I couldnt get anything, nothing.
I think they released a very limited number. Sometimes it's good though, I did get front row Ryan Adams that way...
