This setlist with The Masterplan, Songbird & Guess God Thinks I'm Able has started in what gig of this tour? I think it's the best setlist so far. It's just a little behind the first gig of this tour that had "Headshrinker" that might have been amazing with Zak on drums.

Today, is gonna be the day ... Review of Brisbane Concert
After months and months of waiting, Liam, Noel, Gem, Andy and Zak didn't disappoint. Incredible, they did about twenty songs, the same setlist as they'd done in Japan a few weeks ago. Liam was in classic form: wearing a thick coat despite the weather, swaggering around the stage, dropping in a "fuck" here and there during songs, and swearing at some wanker in the crowd with a proffessional camera. Liam dedicated "Cigarettes and Alcohol" to George Best, "Bring it on Down" to backpackers, "Live Forever" to the British, and "Wonderwall" to the girls. Noel riled up the crowd by dedicating "Don't Look Back in Anger" to our "shit cricket team".
Musically it was great, very tight performance. Liam's voice sounded powerful, something that hasn't always been the case this tour. Noel was pretty quiet all night, didn't have a lot to say, but he charmed everyone with his vocals on "The Masterplan", "Don't Look Back in Anger", "The Importance of Being Idle" and so-forth. That said, when Liam left the stage for the Noel songs, the band lost a bit of their stage presence.
Zak was astounding on drums, absolutely annihilating his kit. Probably the best drummer that I've seen before. Gem played the role of second guitarist brilliantly, throwing in the harmonica solo during "Mucky Fingers". Andy Bell was pretty tame, dressed like someone out of Where's Wally he just stood at the back and did nothing at all really. On keyboard, synths and so-forth was a strange-bloke who looked uncannily like Jesus. I always thought the second coming of Jesus would occur during an Oasis or Queen gig.
The setlist was good, as I mentioned before, it was the same as in Japan. Nice selection of songs, but as has been the case all this tour, there was virtually nothing present from 1996-2002. As you'd expect, it was the classic '94/'95 era material that went down the best, although "The Masterplan" seemed popular.
Moron watch: thumbs down to the man behind me who fell asleep. Why are you at an Oasis concert!?! Also, what the shit was with the girl and man next to me who decided to go and buy food during "Wonderwall". Ummm. Worst of all, I can't believe idiots started to leave while the "My Generation" finale was still going. Insane.
The setlist:
0. Fuckin In The Bushes (tape) 1. Turn Up The Sun 2. Lyla 3. Bring It On Down 4. Morning Glory 5. Cigarettes & Alcohol 6. The Importance Of Being Idle 7. The Masterplan 8. Songbird 9. A Bell Will Ring 10. Acquiesce 11. Live Forever 12. Mucky Fingers 13. Wonderwall 14. Champagne Supernova 15. Rock'n'Roll Star
ENCORE 16. Guess God Thinks I'm Abel 17. The Meaning Of Soul 18. Don't Look Back In Anger 19. My Generation
Let There Be Love played over the PA after the gig, that was cool.
On the topic of bootlegs, do NOT expect recordings from Brisbane. Only 6,500 people were present, and Brisbane historically produces virtually nil bootlegs. I can't ever recall a decent recording of a top-band coming out of Brisbane.

Thanx for the review. Sounds like nothing really has changed. Very consistent. His/her description could apply to 90% of the tour gigs. Very little variance, which ain't great for fans seeing multiple gigs, but good for the fans who only see one.

LTBL being played on the PA, IMHO, is lame. Play the song live already. That's a little insulting to the fans ... (I'm just bitter they haven't played it yet). It's a perfect song for the tour. Perfect.

by the way to add to the review lima introduced morning glory as a song about people who like to pull themselves
also changed the words in bring it on down
and did anyone notice that when he sang today is just a blur (bring it on down) liam did that gay hand thing of his wonder if that was directed at blur
also liam pointed at noel sometime too through one of the songs
