I was front row at the Molson Kool Haus show in June. If they did play there, we would all be in for a huge treat, but it almost seems a bit *too* small.. I think the capacity is 3000, which would be way less than the 15 or 16000 they played to at the Amphitheatre. I don't know what the capcity is of the other venues mentioned above?

Original Newsroom posting from weeks ago:
An L4e member just back from Oasis' show in Atlantic City reports some great news ! The band is coming back for more shows! Read on.....
"Just back from 4 shows in 5 nights. Front row at Baltimore and Cleveland followed by Across The Narrows and tonight Atlantic City. Met the band numerous times and had great interaction with them while they were on stage. Talked with Liam and Gem for about 10 minutes tonight. Gem said the last 3 weeks have been unreal and they are all having such a great time on stage. He said "...when was the last time you've seen Liam singin along to Noels songs from the wings ."
The big news though is Oasis WILL be back in the U.S. in February! The Houston show will be made up. The only other cities mentioned were Miami and a smaller gig in Toronto.

the rumors now are that it's gonna be a smaller gig so you're gonna have to be super quick to get tickets cos they're gonna get gobbled up fast.
but i'm still hoping it'll be something like the ACC or ricoh colliseum

Many rumours that Miami (or South Florida anyway) will be a spot.
I will be there for that one!!!!!!

how many people can the ACC hold?? 20 odd thousands... I dunno... the acoustics isn't that great, as long as they don't play SkyDome (now Roger Centre ) it'll be okay yes!! TORONTO!!

What I do not understand, is why Oasis would go to the southern USA, then do a smaller show in Toronto...
That makes no sense. Either they are doing a full tour, including the North East, or they are doing a bigger show in Toronto so that it is financially viable.
They could play rogers center and likely come close to selling out. But I agree, ACC seems to be the likely spot.
This whole rumour is strange tho. I used to live in Toronto, now in Atlanta, and will likely see them in Miami if the budget permits.

The one thing I can't figure out about the rumor is why they'd come back and play places they have haven't played before. Doesn't really make a sense business-wise, and considering they play to less than full venues on this past US tour. Don't get me wrong, I hope they come back, I'd just rather see them do the cities that tend to sell out, ie Toronto, New York, Boston

I think two nights at MSG would be tough to do. How about two at Hammerstein Ballroom a la 1997? To be honest, I wouldn't be surprised just to see one show at a place like the Beacon.

I'm think it'll be Miami, Tampa, Orlando, etc. Some place warm during the winter, and a makeup show in Houston - and perhaps back to the cities that they drew well in, like T.O. - but then again, their second go-round in NYC wasn't so great. The tour was so up and down, in terms of reception and attendance, that I have to believe they just want to go to places they haven't been yet and places where they could do well in ticket sales, which makes sense.
I'm a little surprised there is no word of anything after 2005 so far. I've got my fingers crossed for some Mexico dates. That would be mega.
Has anyone heard anything more on an Ibiza gig? I seem to remember reading something about that the last few months.

If they come back to North America, especially if they visit NYC, Toronto, Boston, etc again... ATTENDANCE IS REQUIRED (lions, djlen, kalas)

but then again, their second go-round in NYC wasn't so great. That wasn't really their fault. That festival didn't sell well at all despite the amount of good bands that were on the bill. I really can't see them coming back to the US and ignoring New York but I would rather them play a smaller venue like Beacon.
