Its official folks,
‘Let There Be Love’ will be the third single taken from Oasis’ double platinum selling album ‘Don’t Believe The Truth’. The album has already spawned two number one singles this year, ‘Lyla’ and ‘The Importance Of Being Idle’. In October it won Q Magazine’s prestigious Album Of The Year award and the People’s Choice Award.
The single is released on CD, DVD and 10” vinyl on 28th November 2005 on Big Brother Recordings. The CD and 10” will feature a brand new Noel penned track entitled ‘Sittin’ Here In Silence (On My Own)’ which was produced and mixed by Dave Sardy. The documentary footage included on the DVD goes behind the scenes of Oasis’ biggest ever world tour, which will seen them play to over 2 million people worldwide in 2005. Recorded by renowned promo director Baillie Walsh it is a taste of a longer film to come, entitled “Lord Don’t Slow Me Down” and culminates in the spine-tingling new video for “Let There Be Love”.

Hm. I remember Noel saying in an interview that there was a song called "Lord Don't Slow Me Down" that he loved and that his girlfriend loved because it was a danceable track. He said it didn't fit though and it didn't make the final cut.
Wonder if it'll turn up as a tie-in with the film.

hope the demo isn't its a crime For real! I hope it's another demo they recorded in England before heading to Los Angeles to record with Dave Sardy. You can hear bits of them recording unused "Let There Be Love" takes on the "Lyla" DVD single. I hate when then add live songs to singles. It usually makes the single weaker. Just like the "Songbird" single. I would have preferred "I Can See it Now" or "WTSMGlory" Dave Sardy remix over another live version of "Rock N Roll Star". But the DVD is gonna be cool.

Anyone have any details/rumors, etc. about this "spine-tingling" video for "Let There Be Love"?
And no "well, when I popped around Noel's house the other day he screened it for me…" jokes, please.
Yeah, I am also a little disappointed in the live track as a b-side.
SlideAway — I don't remember hearing anything about a track called "Lord Don't Slow Me Down" anywhere, though that's not to say I'm doubting you. I just probably missed it. I will say an Oasis tune with a "dance" feel to it sounds intriguing to me. Can anyone else out there confirm this?

i second the fact that ive read something about the song "lord don't slow me down" being one of the possible cuts for don't believe the truth. remember the supposed tracklistings that were circulating around? i think it was on one of those.

He said it when he was talking about his g/f liking Franz Ferdinand, and how she was annoyed LDSMD wasn't included because it was the first Oasis song she could dance to.

If LTBL turns out to be a big seller and people find it missing from the setlist, then the review bastards are gonna tear them apart.

I'm looking forward to that "Lord Don't Slow Me Now" film. what do you think it'll be like?? There's certainly a lot of new possible projects for oasis, this film, the supposed B-side compilation, the new album, the new live dvd. I hope it's not bullshit, we all would love to have new oasis stuff as soon as possible. cheers!!
P.S. Disappointing there are no new tracks for the single as we already know Sittin’ Here In Silence (On My Own)

I'm sure they'll add LTBL to the setlist. Noel can't be that stupid.

I hope they do add it to the setlist but I'm almost sure they won't. they have played the whole tour up to this day without it. I guess tomorrow we'll find out. fingers crossed

I remember Noel saying a few good songs came out of the Death in Vegas sessions that may turn up later. He mentioned one in particular that wasn't Oasis style. Lord don't slow me down may be this track as it fits with descriptions above??

I think the tracklisting for this single BLOWS. SHIS(OMO) is a nothing tune. Bunging a live version of an 11 year old track on there as well is just insulting to the buyer.
