Kinda. Now that the tour is over (atleast out here in the US), I was just wandering what y'all are listening too? After going to a few shows out here in Cali and witnessing Kasabian, Im buzzing off their Lp. pumps me right up. Letting my DBTT Lp settle a bit in the side pocket of my drivers side door, and revisiting IanBrowns' "GG" & "Solorized", Roses' "Garage Flower".

I guess I'm an old coot, I can't see what all the business is about Kasabian... I have their album, because I'm a DJ and I have to keep up with all the latest stuff... but they just don't do anything for me...
Give me Oasis anyday!

Since you're talking about Oasis opening acts, why don't you check out the Redwalls album, it's called "De Nova" and it's brilliant!! really!
They suported oasis on a couple of gigs, I reckon.
It's worth a listen!

kasabian are crap. the singer tries to sound/look hard by swearing but ends up looking like the kid on the yorkie commercials.

I saw kasabian on the tour and to be honest when I bought their first cover with the NME, I read the article and thought, "NOT Oasis" and didnt see what all the fuzz was bout but, after seeing them know, wow their hella tight. I dont/didnt get the impresion Tom was "hard" just cool/typical guy cool, same with the rest of the band. Like I felt no "attitude from them on stage. Redwalls, I'll have a listen, any songs you reco?

That's the odd thing mate! They're yankees! From Chicago. But they certainly don't look or sound americans. Check out they're website www.theredwalls.com, there's a couple of nice videos.

not really been listening to any new music cos it's shite IMO.. 1.) supergrass' new one "road to rouen " - have a listen.. www.supergrassmusic.com/ 2.) the dead 60's or the ordinary boys, if you want some ska.. 3.) brmc - need to hear their latest myself, heard it's very good 4.) been listening to motown, rnb and soul wilson pickett, amen corner, the contours, 5.) small faces 6.) muddy waters 7.) bob dylan 8. weller - as is now 9.) the yardbirds and other classic 60's 10.) revisiting britpop - james, ocean colour scene, dodgyetc.. 11.) the dansettes - band from nyc, 60's sound.. they gotta site

I'd take OASIS any day too but something about KASABIAN really clicked with me. Its as if the Stone Roses and Primal Scream had a lovechild...Brilliant, trippy stuff.

Oh no...I absolutely HATED The Redwalls! I saw em open for the Kaiser Chiefs back in July and they were really horrid onstage. Their sound came off as country music gone a bit harder...I was very disappointed. Jilliam: U should check out this British band called The CRIBS...Amazing new band from Manchester...The 2nd coming of The Libertines I say! Their newest CD is called New Fellas...every track drips of attitude. Luv it to bits!

Yeah, I've let my Oasis Cds have a little break after a whole summer of spinning on the CD player. As sisao said, they will age like some fine wine and be there right when I need them (probably tomorrow). All it takes is some 'all my people, right here right now' and I'm right back into it. In the meantime I need to go pick up that Kasabian CD. They rocked it live. Other than that the new music has been pretty lean lately down at Tower, so I've been going back to the Doves from earlier this year and some of my other old favs.

I never really cottoned on to what the Libs were bout, al I know is that I read their 1st NME int. an though Carl was trying to hard to be cool and found him boring actually and Pete was just trying to be Ian/Shaun R./Liam all in one. Not the real deal so I passed on them

And they're fantastic, definitely worth checking out. Look on iTunes for stuff like Hey Scenesters!, Mirror Kissers and Another Number.

Mirror Kissers is a great song...Can't stop listening to it. Check out their website: www.thecribs.com for more info on US Tour dates. I'm seeing em again for the 2nd time this year on Nov 28th...Can't fookin wait!
