does anyone have their album sales in the US and UK? compared to what heathen chemistry.. i know album sales is not all that important, just curious to see if this album make any progress or regressed from HC.

I don't think it will be up there with hc yet after 2 singles, didn't hc end up selling 5-6million worldwide about 1 million less than be here now? not bad at all

i think that 5-6 million mark was just a myth man. oasis' heathen chemistry just solid over 1 million copies world wide. maybe im wrong but i remember webmaster saying that. this one will sell just as much or more, even if heathen chemistry had 3 really quality singles.

no dude....HC sold just over a million in the uk....the actual worldwide numbers were around 5 or 6 million.....and as far as i know DBTT is in between 4 and 5 million worldwide right now....so it should beat HC's sales...it just won't crush them

More like 2 million worldwide. DBTT will end up selling over a million worldwide as the new single next year will crush interest preventing any longevity. |

I think that HC sales are close ot 4,5 or 5 million copies. And why not, the album is regarded as a remarkable return to form, and although I like more SotSoG - HC is not bad at all. Why can't it have sold more than SotSoG? I mean SotSoG is probably somewhere close ot 4 million or 3,5. HC is murch warmly received and better seller than SotSoG.

There's an official site where you can take a look at British album sales. Haven't visited the site for a while but from memory HC was double platinum in the U.K. which represents 900,000
copies sold. You can speculate that it could've sold another couple of million worldwide , mostly in Japan , Italy , Germany and Canada. I think in Australia it only sold around 30,000.
In comparison DBTT is already double platinum in the U.K. so obviously it's a much faster seller than HC and will probably end up selling more copies.

So we will have to see. It took HC 7 1/2 months to go 3x platinum. So far DBTT has gone 2x Platinum in 5 months.

It has to be near 3x platinum. it only took 18 days to get to 2x and it's been in the top 40 ever since it was released except for this last week. hopefullly LTBL should help those numbers. This album deserves to get 4 singles released but I'm not sure it's gonna happen

GUYS GUYS those are shipment sales!
Meaning the amount of copies sold to RETAILORS and not actual over counter sales bought by the public!.
DBTT is on 670,000 so far in the uk
And HC is on just over 1million.
