I clearly remember Courtney Love saying she liked specially that BWTB among all the new material Liam played to her; she said it was very raw, Liam screaming or something, very rock n'roll... Definitely not one of the shitty Liam's Lennon-esque numbers, thank God...

I said this in some other "new material due soon" thread that dealt with the same news story, but I still don't think we'll see a new album from them until 2008. Yeah, supposedly they have 66 songs or something from the DBTT sessions. But how many of those songs are like "The Quiet Ones"? I DON'T want an album full of 2 minute acoustic ditties. I would LOVE to see them release a non-album single in 2006, but they don't have a record contract! What record company is going to want to hear — "well, no new album yet, but for our first release on our new label, here's a one-off single written by the guy who usually doesn't write the singles. It got a great endorsement from… errr, Courtney Love."

Oasis will easily get a new contract even if they had no new songs written just for being oasis. 11 years down the road they still sell millions, they're tours are among the biggest in the planet and now they are recapturing the attention of the general public that was "lost" between BHN and SOTSOG. Even before the release of DBTT Noel was being contacted by big record companies. both noel and liam said it was a shame that they hadn't released no new material for 3 years and I don't think that wil happen again for the next album, My guess is early-mid 2007. cheers

Don't get me wrong. I have no doubt that Oasis will get a massive recording contract. I just think any record company who wants a return on their investment is going to want a big, fat, new album, not a one-off single.
