i couldn't believe it, today on kroq they said stay tuned as they debut the new oasis song! it turned out to be who put the weight of the world on my shoulders!!! rodny on the rock introduced it. i thought it was going to be let thre be love. i called the dj and she said that they got alot of calls wanting to hear it again! how wierd!

Rodney is persona non grata on KROQ - on late nights on Sunday. But he's really all we got now on the station. God bless him, but it's sad, very sad. It's like Oasis has gone back to the very beginning, when Rodney was playing their music at 3am from imports.
But again, God bless Rodney. he introduced Oasis at KROQ's Inland Invasion, b/c I 'spose none of the regular DJs wouldn't stoop to it.
Since Inland Invasion, I hate to say it, I've stopped listening to KROQ. I'm done. The shite they're playing every day is heartbreaking. So sad what that station has become.

actually it was the first song played after the flashback lunch at 1:00 in the afternoon. so it hit a huge audience!

Liam actually dedicated a song to Rodney at the Hollywood Bowl gig. Dont member what song cos I was buzzing sooo much just being at the gig but, Im a bit older than some on you in here and honestly Rodneys not ever KROQ hes always been his own persona. I member waking up in the morning to get ready and head off to school and hearing the Poorman on Kroq then later on after school listening to Rodney. The Rodney slot was the best, Roses, Las, Monday, Northside, Carpets, Bloody Valentine, Moz. Im mean the guys a fuckin legend. And its a slap in the face to him AND his fans for having him on at midnight/3am. I say Rodney head on over to Indie 103.1, just hopping it doesnt turn into another Y107. |
