well they printed up a us promo for it (ltbl), mtv reported on it and its video, and the bands coming back in february and march having still done no late night appearances of any sort in the u.s...honestly, i don't believe that they wouldn't push it for airplay being that i've personally already heard let there be love on u.s. radio in ny.

Wait, what about LTBL, that got a pretty good amount of airplay. With Lyla, doesn't that make two?

The new single for Canada is supposed to be KTDA but nothing has been said about release date, but some forum members have said they saw tv advertising for it. In the US it's gonna be LTBL, Noel has officially said it. So there is gonna be a second single for America but what I find weird is that they didn't release it while they were touring there and that it's been a real long time since Lyla came out so once again creation messed it all up...

I thought Noel said in an interview for MTV in the last few days that the second single for the US was gonna be LTBL and they already had already shot the video for it.

Since apparently they're coming back to the U.S. early next year, I'm assuming LTBL will get a push then, if not earlier. But who really knows.

Im really wondering if Noel's untenable relations with Sony is the major reason they haven't really gotten behind any of the singles stateside since WTSMG. It defies logic that they wouldnt want Oasis on the radio here, and I have to believe if they wanted it to happen, it would. LTBL is a no-brainer for radio play here - but the bridge mightve been burned, especially since there's basically no chance Noel will resign with Sony - he's said as much.

let there be love was released to triple a radio not modern rock. hence no airplay keep the dream alive is not being released here despite what ethan said.

i've seen a promo on TSN here in canada REPEATEDLY
for Keep The Dream Alive... as the next oasis single... and as someone mentioned awhile back, it shows the boys mocking performance from back in may or whenever it was.

What shit so glad Oasis is through with Epic Do you just mean CD-singles? Because Oasis hasn't released a CD-single in the U.S since DLBIA. Virtually nobody releases CD-singles in the US anymore. As for whether Epic gave up on Oasis, I think that's obvious. They gave them a massive push around the time of Morning Glory, and accompanied by "Wonderwall" and "Champagne Supernova," Oasis become genuine stars. But their cancelled shows, and abuse at radio personalities basically made Epic very wary. They gave them a good chance at BHN, but none of the songs really caught on ("Don't Go Away" was a minor hit) and when sales of BHN ultimately didn't top a million they basically completely gave up on the band. Frankly, I'd say the ball was dropped from the start. Promotion for DM should've started MUCH earlier - around the same time as in the US. Had Definitely Maybe been a big seller in the US in addition to MG, they'd be much better regarded here than they did become. Sony also never bothered releasing the singles - which could easily have been done in boxsets. The Smashing Pumpkins did that and it really helped grow their fanbase. That's something that should've been done and it would've helped build promotion and build a larger following. Of course, Noel and Liam didn't help things in this regard. Their relative lack of success in the US has a lot to do with their own mistakes. But Sony deserves a lot of scorn too.

The way Noel talked on MTV, Let There Be Love is due to be out soon in the U.S.
Is it just me, or do the boys just seemly horribly mismanaged? Noel says he doesn't like the singles they release (Lyla), didn't like the artwork on DBTT (though he designed it!), and you then see debacles like Across The Narrows (not that I wasnt happy for NY fans getting to see them, but it shoulda been better promoted and staged).
