I notice a lot of ppl have said how liams voice has inevitably altered since the "angelic" kind of vox he gave from 94-98 i can understand when u see the there and then dvd with the maine road and earles court gigs he by far had the best rock n roll voice in the world imo the most important part of drawing u into all things oasis, it was every bit as perfect and some more as the studio takes. That being said I understand he isn't 21 anymore and I still personally like his voice and the way he exagerates it now (like cigs and alcohol before) on songs like turn up the sun, hung in a bad place, go let it out and he certainly doesn't hide the grovel in his voice on the div collaboration the point is these songs are all catchy as fuck and remind u why u liked oasis in the first place i mean just listen to ian brown sing live or bob dylan now. I think liam deserves credit for still doing a great live gig and drawing in new fans still with one of the best voices in rock n roll, its like johnny rotten meets john lennon u can't get much better when u listen to a song like turn up the sun and the ballad let there be love on the same album u know ur in for a treat. Didn't mean to type that much lol, what do u ppl think?

I concur with you m8 ! I just saw Liam thurs nite in the states (baltimore area and he sounded mega ! no straining... he also was "right on" in NYC last june !) he did have a bad gig or 2 this tour - LA Inland invasion and Phoenix.. perhaps he got coached ? I don;t see how he rested it with this intense tour ! ? I rather like the way his voice has progressed since 1994. Don;t get me wrong it was cool on DM too but !
I think liam himself liked his vox on BHN ?
Fuck, listen to his voice on BOADC (born on a diff cloud..) and TMOS, GGTIA, LLAB ! Love it ! T-O-P ! ;D
BTW, the lads are being well received here in the usa ! I am so proud of them.. they really held up in the face of opposition all these years ! they stood proud and persevered and it has paid off nicely ! THAT'S ROCK N ROLL MISTER ! ;D

I love liams voice on be here now, probably at his sneering best although it was lacking a champagne supernova how can u complain with him singing songs like d'you know what i mean and stand by me, immense. I know liam can have the odd bad gig and his voice can go while touring evident when noel has took over midset lol but I honestly believe its because he puts so much into the way he delivers his vocals, he seems to put everything he has and a bit more into them songs live, it feels good to know he still cares and isn't just doing it for the money and its still about the music. There is also the big demand to see oasis live so he may not be getting appropriate rest for his voice between gigs

Inland invasion, Across the Narrows fest, and places like atlantic city.. this has been an extensive tour and liam seems to be holding up OK, knock on wood. I love him !

Liam's voice:
Can still sound good on the albums. Not absolutely mind killing like WTSMG or DM
Sound SHIT in bootlegs
Sounds good live, except for some off nights.
I like them better before. More range. Cleaner, less strain. He could say imaggggggiiinayyysheeunn. instead of AYSHUH....

I agree with you except for the bit about Ian Brown, i saw him at V and his vocals were amazing... he's getting a lot better live these days.
Coincidently Liam's voice fucking rocked at V

I like Liam's gravelly vocals on certain songs, but it's a shame that some of the purity he used to have (such as on Champagne Supernova or Cast No Shadow) has vanished.
For example, I think Love Like A Bomb on the new record would be twice as good a song if he wasn't sneering all over it.
