People !!!!!!!!!!!!!! duuuuudes ! Tonite's show in the baltimore area blew me away ! GREAT vibes ! First off, kasabian cld not play due to tech difficulties.. I didn't care but... JET was well received and the crowd was digging it. I felt good for JET, they were waaaay into it ! (I can't believe I even saw em.) Oasis ! The light show was TOP and there were big screens - thank you ! Very few SAT and most ppl were dancing, EVEN THE BLOKES ! 4 songs in... the crowd was screaming EVery WORD to every song ! the beer and liquor were flowing ! 10 bucks for a corona ! oi !  Liam highlites - 1.) he did NOT strain his voice once ! some one coached him maybe ? during "bring it on down' he more or less did a spoken word type deal and I rather liked it! 2.) he was playful and speaking jibberish saying &^%$# FUCK OFF ! You *&^% vagina ! and you wankers !  3.) "This is for all the deaf ppl", "this is for the ppl in the back.."" this is for all the early risers (MG)", this is for all the lovely ladies - you've been very patient "WONDERWALL !"  4.) he fucking put his tambourine above noel's head ! shaking ppl's hands in the crowd ! it was mega ! 5.) liam let us sing 2 of his songs or so, while he soaked it up ! Noel - 1.) there were birds crying during wonderwall upfront ! he was saying "was it that bad, that you were crying ?" kidding around ! 2.) at the end noel and andy were putting "2 thumbs up ! " in the air ! 3.) noel playing his guitar over his head ! ENCORE - MY GEN ! Mega ! rocknroll extravaganza ! it was sensory overload - there was some IMPROV going on ! zak went nuts ! *JET came on with the lads and sang with them, and were dancing around like FOOLS on stage ! noel stayed extra long clapping his hands in the air ! * oops it was the kasabian dudes... haha ! yeah I ehrr.. was drinking a bit !  IT WAS LOUD AS FUCK and it was 100% rock n roll ! black ppl, asian, latino, white UNITED screaming every word ! that is what sticks out.. I looked back all the young kids were going ape ! My sister was soo much fun ! she was fending off the younger blokes ! lol ! lots of "mingling" going down ... I feel proud for a change of the US audience ! TOP crowd ! nite ! ;D |

One problem...It wasnt Jet, it was Kasabian. But it was phenomenal nonetheless. I remember when I first saw Kasabian I thought, man...theyd be perfect to team up with Oasis and there they were on the same effin stage...Crazy. and fitting. Both parties were really digging it... Ive seen them 3 times on tour. 1 time in the front row and I was 25 rows back this time and it absolutely took the cake. One of the best shows Ive ever seen and Im no rookie...I go to a bunch. The sound, the acoustics, the guitar, the attitude, the vibe, the fucking songs....It was all just fantastic and it all equaled to a top 5 show all time for me. May be best ever. Whatever problems Liam was having with his voice are now GONE. He was on point. He had his typical problem with the sound guy yelling at him and almost stopped Bring it on Down. I have no idea why, the voice was perfect and his mic was just right. Other than that he was in great spirits. There were probably at least 15k there and I swear everyone was into it. Just a great vibe. Didnt feel to short either. Felt just about right. I really dont know what else to say, it was just a great vibe. I wont forget this one, thats for sure...Im going to be on a high for a week. I see Coldplay tomorrow. Hope they dont ruin it.  |

wow Tam I really got goosebumps from reading that review, amazing. good to know the boys were in such a great mood and that the crowd was top.

Ok, my observations(other than what Tam said)
Compared to philly this show was quite different. The sound was beter tonight, but also tonight the corwd never got into it. At philly I swear most people jumped for most songs and generally went crazy. This was a very tame audience and liam was especially pissed at this making assorted comments about the lack of crowd enthusiasm. Noel even admitted it was a bit quiet. From where I was in the mid left all the chearing and singing came from the lawn it sounded like! Props to them, I almost headed back there because it sounded like where there were some real fans. Overall, the show sounded great tonight but the vibe was nothing close to how involved the crowd was at the GA philly show.
And lets be serious, we all know why kasabian didnt play, they were to drunk to play.
My generation was the best I have ever seen/heard and I hope somebody recorded it in video, it was amazing with kasabian and the fake ending and the continued jamming, awesome!!
GGTIA electric was also amazing and stunningly good.
Overall, things sounded great, but there was no good vibe really from the crowd all night.
At the end of the night I told myself I would never see oasis again unless it was a GA show because the crowd absolutely sucked tonight. I was one of the few not in the pit jumping around, throwing beers and screaming. I had to try to get people into it, this never happened at philly, we were all on the same page and madferit.

what are you talkin about? that was the best crowd vibe ive seen. honestly, read my other post...liam wasnt being sarcastic, he was being quite thankful for how good the crowd was. everyone i spoke to said its the best show theyve done all tour, better than the msg show by far, which is saying something. im sure kalas will be offended, but having been at both i think i can be a fair judge |

I was center stage all the way in the back. yes I was right infront of the lawn crowd and they were going nuts ! lots of fun ! I had a blast ! I thought this crowd tonite was great compared to 80% of NYC audience ? funny I heard philly audience sucked ? liam making fun "look there is one fan here tonite" and noel telling some bird to NOT SING ! funny, must depend on where u were sitting ? my area was drinking , screaming all the words and dancing ! po-go-ing even ! what liam was saying ie you wanker ! you vagina ! fuck off during songs I thought was all in good play u must take the bros gallagher for their sarcasm and what it is worth.. jmo... cheers ahh well ? |

the philly show had worse sound, but the vibe was better..most people actually jumped and sang...no one really did this and i was in the middle looking down and back all night to see if I was one of the few actually being a fan....like I said, never again unless its GA

I was like 15 peopel back from the wall at philly so i couldnt see far back, but everywhere around me was crazy, EVERYWHERE! Pogoing nonstop for almost every song, beer getting thrown.
Tonight there was no pogoing and no shananigans from what I saw and I thought I had I had a good view of the all the seats. People jsut kinda swayed tonight and muttered a few words during wonderwall. This was a very week crowd compared to the absolute rambunctiousness of the first 25 "rows" maybe more at philly

If I wanted to hear oasis I could put them loud on a speaker at home, I go to gigs because other fans make them fun. Tonight was lame.

i thought the crowd was top too, no offense columbiah. People all around were jumping, singing, all completly into it. I did not see one person sitting down which i did at msg. I was at philly too and agree that although the sound wasn't as good as tonight, it was just more fun because it was GA

Good things about tonight: (hehe)
-no sitting, yes there was none(doesnt make the crowd godlike, but at least they werent insulting)
-Liams voice was fine
-The band sounded great, Gem looked like a fucking rock star
-My Generation was the best version oasis has ever done, hands down.
-I guess there are more...

The show was great---was it just me or were the first few songs really soft/quiet. Liam found his voice and was really really good after a shaky start. What I was most impressed with was the fans who came out were of all different ages. Plenty of Teens/20's/30s but also i saw a lot of older couples as well as kids. It shows how great music transends the generation barrier and oasis are great.

i dont think it sold out in the long run, but it was as close as possible. the pavillion was sold out, only lawn seats left at all. for what its worth about an hour before i left i went to ticketmaster and had the option to get pit seats and opted against them for fear i wouldnt be able to scalp my own seats. i'm a fool. |
