Viernes 23 de Septiembre.
We were on our way to the AMD Stage to see Kasabian, and we stopped for a second to hear Bobby Bare Jr, that was a bad idea.
It's been said that Kasabian is one of the best live acts in the world today, so I was excited.
They took the stage at 2:30 I think.
They did a good job but nothing espectacular, the guitar player is more of a male model than a guitar player (don't get me wrong girls), he seemed to be having problems singing and playing at the same time, but other than that it was a good overall performance.
When they began to play Clubfoot (festival highlight) I located Andy Bell watching them in the VIP area, so me, my friends and a cool Oasis fan we met there went to the VIP entrance to wait for him and we got to talk to him.
So a couple hours later Keane took over that same stage. I watched them almost a year ago and they are still playing the same songs of the same old album, please go back to the studio and get some work done!
Spoon played before them, and there was half as many people watching Keane (I don't know why since it seems Spoon is the worst band in the world), I like keane, but after you see them 2 times you don't feel like watching them ever again.
Saturday.
I woke up and realised I was about to see Oasis.
We got there early, sat down, and waited waited and waited.
We saw a pretty respectable band called Built to Spill, they were alright.
But then we got to see Deathcab for Cutie..... AWFUL, AWFUL, the guitarrist said something bout Liam, I don't think he's allowed to talk about him, but anyway I have nothing to say.
JET... WOW!
The first band that really got the crowd going, or should I say the only band?
I was surprised, the sound was good, their attitude, the music, just perfect. So one can only think that with Jet sounding so good, Oasis is gonna blow you away... They didn't....
OASIS
I don't know where to begin.
Since Fuckin In The Bushes, the sound was awful. And I remember that Liam's mic was not working in the first lines of TUTS, but I don't know who to trust, my memory or the webcast videos.
Seriously, if I sang, I couldn't hear Liam or Noel's voice, I sang anyway but I could not believe it. So please somebody help me, who's fault is it, the festival people? or the Oasis staff? Because Liam was having a bad time with his mic, and Noel's guitar was everything but loud.
All this time i've thought that Zak is not a good drummer, but when I saw them live I realised he's even WORSE than I thought, he messed up a couple of times, I think it was during Lyla and MG, his tempo in DLBIA was worse than Fab Moretti's in The Modern Age EP, and believe it or not, the drumset was out of tune.
It was hard to enjoy the gig with the sound being so bad, but LIAM is.... I dont know, it is impossible not to look at him, and what noel said before DLBIA was really really funny, they are the most fun band to watch, and im sure that sounding right, they're the best live act.
After the gig we were walkin outside and we saw the bus loading the gear, I didnt wanna go check it out but my friends made me.
On our way there Liam walked by us so we got to talk to him as well.
Ya'll are probably bored so Im gonna wrap it up.
on Sonntag we saw Doves (bad), Jason Moraz or something like that (Worse), Franz Ferdinand (ok), and Coldplay (Really Good).
Hope to hear opinions!
