I got there about 5:15 and there were already maybe 50 people there waiting to get in. There were 4 or 5 tailgate parties going with FTM blasting all over the ghetto (thats where it was). Anyway, we got inside and the crowd never really got that big until time for Oasis to come on. Anyway, first Kasabian came on at 7 and they were so fuckin loud, me and my wife went to buy earplugs from the first aid booth. I was right up front next to the speaker and my ears are still ringing today. To me they were an OK band live, I am not really a fan but they were ok. Jet comes on around 8 and the crowd goes wild. They really did a good job last night and FINALLY played a new acoustic song. I think they were better than when I saw them at MSG earlier this year. Here comes the BULLSHIT!! I was supposed to meet at the 99x tent at 9pm to get my press pass, so I show up early to make sure everything is ok. Me and 4 other NONFANS won the passes last week on the radio. Anyway only 2 others show up so we are waiting on the other 2 idiots for WAY TO LONG. We were supposed to get cameras from the Radio station and take pics with them and they were to give us a disc of the pics. They give me some bullshit 3 dollar camera and tell me that I MUST turn the flash off. Well these shit cameras had auto flash that couldnt be turned off. I here the Oasis come on stage and now I am PISSED. The shit cameras dont work and we are still outside. I told the radio station FUCK IT, your making me miss the show. That put tape over the flash and rushed us to the front. Needless to say the cameras sucked ass, I took 2 pics with it and threw it away. LUCKILY I had my digital in my pocket. I took 65 pics with it, without flash and 95 % of them SUCK. But I do got about 6 or 7 good ones. I was SUPER close to the band. Liam came over to shake hands with a few of us. They went through pretty much the same setlist as the rest of the tour, leaving out LBL, SCYHO, & Songbird, but added Aquiese. Everything was super on for pretty much the entire gig. During Wonderwall Liam got pissed at the sound engineer, he stopped during the song and said "DRUMS DOWN!" When he didnt turn them down Liam finally walked off stage and Noel took over on vocals. After that Liam came back and the rest of the show was pretty much spot on. Noel and Gem fucked up the timing for the harmonica on Mucky Fingers but it still rocked. Live forever was once again dedicated to New Orleans. The chorus for DLBIA was of course sang by the crowd. Liam was super cool just as I expected, has there ever been another front man as cool? Definitely not!! The show ended with My Generation like always with Liam wrapped in a Union Jack flag. I can honestly say this show was the best I have ever seen Oasis, better than the MSG show. I have seen them 5 times but nothing can top this one. Maybe because it was my hometown. I will try to get some more pics up soon. [/img]

madferitusa, please post any picks you have with Liam and the Union Jack! i've seen em twice before this, the best they've ever sounded. I'm not a big fan of the "hits", but Morning Glory was amazing. it was great to hear the entire crowd chant along with that song.
only downside was some toolbox in front of me that knew absolutely no lyrics to any of their songs, but tried to sing live forever word for word. this guy was in one of the vip boxes, no explanation as to how these people deserve to be there more than half of the people behind me.
one last thing, Kasabian was so incredibly loud that I thought I would vomit. my friends and I left the stage area to sit outside while they played, we couldn't hear one thing that they said. why does a band feel that they need to be that loud in order to make a lasting impression?
one other last thing, Jet is terrible.

That show sounded so good. My seats we're pretty far back and it sounded awesome. Liam was spot on. No problems w/ vox AT ALL. Wonderwall pretty much came w/out a hitch until the end, but the crowd was so into it by then they were singing themselves.
By sheer accident ( I can explain later if someone wants to know) I met Andy, Maggie, Gem and saw Zak at their hotel.
As far as sound and energy for and from the crowd that was the best Oasis show I have been to.
I've been to 5.

I wonder where we can get reviews / setlist of all their shows in North America. I was at the Dallas show and it kicked ass!! They played Guess God Thinks I'm Abel, which I don't think was played elsewhere. The Dallas crowd was really into it and I think gave the boys the confidence to play it! Also, the brothers were in excellent moods towards each other.

They were staying at the International (Plaza or Center whatever) in Buckhead. I went to Buckhead with a friend of mine who had never been to Atlanta before just to walk around.
There I am wearing my bright Orange Oasis shirt from the N. American SOTSOG tour.
Anyway my friend goes I wonder where my old company (a developer) built the new hote (International) and low and behold we walk right by it. As she is checking out her old companies good work, I notice A HUGE bus trying to park right at the front. I go to my friend and say that it looks like a tour bus.....but it couldn't be 't be (as big as Atlanta is).
I look to the left and underneath the awning sitting by himself and with a guitar is...........Andy Bell!!!
Then I'm like holy crap!!!!
This is so coincidental. Wasn't looking to hunt them down AT ALL.
Now I am feeling silly in my BRIGHT ORANGE OASIS SHIRT as I am trying to convince the hotel people that it was absolutely by accident that I was there (but since I was I stuck around.....feeling silly in my shirt).
Don't be that guy (and I was!!!!).
Anyway we waited around (might as well!!) and GEm walks by along w/ Zak and we also met Maggie (the tour Manager).
I did shake Andy's hand.
No sign of the brothers and we decided to leave as I am not a 'groupie', but it was the best by accident thing that's happened to me.
Awesome show. Liams vox and the bands sound was so on.
Only thing better would be a song from each album.
