After Let There Be Love, there will be one single, correct?
I mean, there were only 4 singles for every album right? So now, which song do you guys think should be a single? these are my candidates:
Turn Up The Sun Meaning of Soul A Bell Will Ring
Since the last two singles, counting LTBL, were more on the softer side, i dont think GGTIA would be smart to release. I would choose TUTS, because its the most catchy song on DBTT (many new oasis fans ive recruted say that as well) and i believe it could be massive in the US! So i really hope OAsis would release TUTS as a single, plus it would be cool, since its Andys song. What do you guys think, please sont anyone recommend Mucky Fingers or Love Like a Bomb, haha ;-)

well noel said MF could possibly be the 4th single. I too think that it's a very strong song but that would make it the second noel sung single (2 1/2) if you count noels part on LTBL. if we want another liam sung single the choices are:
TUTS (written by andy so it can't be) LLAB MOS GGTIA KTDA (written by andy so it can't be) ABWR (written by gem so it can't be)
so I'd go for LLAB or meaning of soul given the options we have. I think any of those would make a weak single.
MOS - rocking and great but it's just too short LLAB - good tune but not sure if it's single material. noel doesn't exactly love it GGTIA - a great tune, I love it but it's just not catchy and won't be interesting for the average radio listener.
If I could pick a non-gallagher single it would be ABWR.

Why wont a gem or andy tun be a single? If their songwriters, and have written good songs, they should be given single opportunities? And why do you think its too late for a strong single? If they release TUTS in January it would be perfect!!!

noel himself said there wouldn't be a non-gallagher single. I agree with you, gem and andy have written strong songs and I would love to see one of those as the next songle but I just don't see it happening. Ihope I'm wrong......let's just wait and see

yeah man, i dont think the public will care if its not written by any gallagher, as long as its good. I mean George Harrison wasnt big in the beatles, but he had a single called Something!

If they're touring in the new year then there will be a new single. If they aren't, I doubt there will be a new single after LTBL.

they will certainly be touring, noel has said so (probably until february/march) and there should definently be 4 singles out of DBTT cos it's got so many good songs

I think TUTS would bemore of a fan pleaser than a ppl pleaser, I just can't see a non-believer get into oasis after hearing TUTS

Mucky Fingers for me. I think it should have been the second single. Trouble is, as mogly said, that would make two Noel-sung singles so it probably won't happen. There aren't all that many strong single candidates on the album as far as I'm concerned.

MF or TUTS as the next single I hope. My two favourite songs on the album. Both sound amazing live. Maybe a live performance for the video!

MOS is definetly wild but I'm not sure if it'd work out as a single. MF and TUTS are both great live!! the bit when gem does the harmonica is fantastic and then the outo is just amazing!!

I love DBTT but i agree with the people who don't think it is a very radio/single friendly album. in retrospect, Lyla now seems like the obvious first single (although, i was skeptical at first, i have really warmed up to it-esp. live or loud in the car) and LTBL is the ballad that should, if promoted rightly, cause a dent in mainstream radio in North America. IOBI is in my opinion the best song on DBTT and while i am happy that it hit no 1 in the UK i am pretty sure that it would have KINKED in the states. so after that what is there for the North American market? MOS is too short (although not much shorter then song 2 which was a huge hit in NA) TUTS is good but takes a while to get started and while reflective of the overall oasis sound sort of comes up a little short in the quality department (imo) MF is brilliant album song that probably wouldn't fit in this market KTDA? maybe, but not a favourite of mine. POTQ...no one has mentioned that one...that is an amazing song...but not radio friendly... so that leaves us north americans with... ah what the fuck am i talking about...we should be happy just having LTBL on the radio. that is more then we have had in NOrth AMerica since WTSMG. btw, it LTBL goes to no 1 in the uk it would be the first time oasis has pulled that trifecta...which is pretty amazing. and yes coldplay still doesn't have a number one in their homeland. fix that

mos is too short to be a single ppl hearing it on the radio for the first time wud prob think it was a commercial all be it a very good one between songs. The alternative is to release tuts video and all with mos as the flipside so more ppl get to hear it double a-side basically and hey it wud be a big improvement on the she is love/lbl noel double act lol

I think it will end up being Mucky Fingers, purely cos Noel loves the song so much and it's a bit different to what people normally expect from Oasis.
Ideally I'd like to see them release GGTIA as a fifth single as well (yeah, greedy I know) cos I really think that song has the potential to catch on with the public, is Liam's best vocal on the album by a mile.
Alternatively to those, I'd say A Bell Will Ring. It's short, catchy, and has a great vocal on it. Yeah it's a non-Gallagher song - SO WHAT? If that is the only reason Noel wouldn't release it then he should stop being so petty and get over himself. What better way to show that Oasis are now a "proper" band?

i tought that when noel said non - gallaghers singles he was just being funny and ironic like hes always is in the interviews, so i wouldnt erase KTDA out of the picture, but i think is gonna be meaning of soul, cos is liams, to give him more confindence, and just because noel clearly loves this track, and its a great live track

Turn Up the Sun or A Bell Will Ring. No question about it, all the other songs aren't single material, and seeing as Turn Up the Sun is the first track off the album, it should be a Bell Will Ring.

There's rumours in England that Who Put The Weight of The World on My Shoulders from the Goal! film soundtrack (a Noel sung strings backed epic) could be a single. But then again, around the release of DBTT Noel was mentioning MF as the fourth single here, tho I've no idea how well that would go down in the States. There's some awesome album tracks on DBTT, but singles don't exactly leap out at you. Can definitely see why Lyla was the first single!
