Hello everyone. It's time I shared something personal. Here are the photo's I took at ACL this weekend. I wish I had more of Oasis but I was too into it to stop and take a lot of pictures. I got plenty of Coldplay though. Enjoy! homepage.mac.com/t.h.gilbert/PhotoAlbum39.html

I don't know why but Liam sounded fucking great!!! It was all a blur that night. The gig went by way too fast.

I don't know why but Liam sounded fucking great!!! It was all a blur that night. The gig went by way too fast. A friend of mine went to ACL and he said OASIS sounded horrible! He said the boys seemed pissed off coz the instruments were fookin up or sommat. He got to go backstage and met Gem! See pic below:

Well your friend wasn't standing where I was. Because from where I was it was great. He's also a bastard because he got to go backstage. How'd he get so damn lucky?! Oh, and Queen...you're not so bad yourself!

Oh, and Queen...you're not so bad yourself! FROM ALL ACCOUNTS liam SOUNDED LIKE CRAP .....my buddy who i trust cause he is impartial to OASIS was there he said LIAMS voice was not good....if your a fan like me or you ,you tend to overlook things but my mate is 45 and a true music lover he said to me the band was tight but liams was horrible..take it for what you want .but sometimes you gotta face reality .liam will sometimes not be in good voice and thats just a fact

Sounds like Liam is really limping to the finish on this leg of the tour. Hopefully he'll be better for the next leg.

Thanks for sharing your pics, meaningofsoul.

I THINK THAT UNDER NORMAL CIRCUNSTANCES NO ... and by that i mean a singer who is used to extensive touring ,this voice issue would not have been a problem....but OASIS havbe never been able to sustain long tours historically, and when you combine that with a 3 year layoff..i think it was inevitable that LIAMS PIPES WOULD GIVE SOMETIMES...

FROM ALL ACCOUNTS liam SOUNDED LIKE CRAP ..... Ah thats what I've been hearing too...Im getting nervous now about Across The Narrows...NY music critics and new fans who are seeing em for the first time might not be so forgiving when it comes to our boys...

Meaningofsoul, excellent pictures. My missus and I followed your pack up to the front. I didn't even know it was you.
I don't care what anyone says, you can't just say Liam's voice was crap or gold, period. In an audience that size, the band sounds different to each section of audience. I am sure his voice wasn't at his best, and that was probably evident to certain sections of the crowd, but I have to back up Meaningofsoul and say that where we were standing, it sounded fine. Not outstanding, but good nonetheless.

That's awesome. Oh, and people people. Maybe ignorance is bliss, but I had no idea that Liam sounded like shit and I stand by that everyone INCLUDING Liam sounded great that night.

I still don't think Liam was horrible in the four shows I saw here. Inland Invasion was the worst, but it was still passable. Seattle, H-Bowl and San Diego he was decent.
It's weird how so many people think he sounds terrible and I really don't. But then again, maybe I'm a blind fan and just happy to be in the same building as them. The one thing I can tell everyone is that I've taken over a dozen non-Oasis fans to those shows and NONE said he sounded bad. All of them loved the shows (including II). And many are now fans of the bands.

Right on! I took this girl who was a voice major in college and she said Liam sounded great at ACL! She now digs Oasis! I don't see what the big problem is. II was crap vocally but ACL, especially being there, he sounded just great!

If u say since the mid-90's then I rest my case...BUT, if u say just since recently, then I can see why you would think Liam's voice sounds fine. If you had the pleasure of seeing em live since the beginning (as is the case with Kalas and I) then you would see a HUGE difference vocally in the Liam of 94 to the Liam of 2005.
