I think we could have it bythe second half of 2007. they will tour maybe until march 2006, then they'll rest probably until november, get back into the studio and since they supposedly have a lot of material written and demoed it shouldn't take too long... plus the boys should keep the momentum with another quick release since DBTT is being so successful... let's just hope it comes out this way

For all of you that are talking 2006, 2007 I think that is a bit of wishful thinking... my opinion: 2008, 2009... I think Noel is a little burned out, I'm sure that he has a few tunes in the can that he wants to tinker with and get JUST RIGHT, and he will take his time, no rush... he will get to them when he gets to them, you know what I mean? Also don't forget they need a new record deal.... And BTW I will go on record rite now to say that Stop The Clocks WILL NOT BE on the next record, if it is I will eat my Red Sox hat

LOL Anyways I say that because of the fact that there's supposedly a dozen versions floating around and Chief has said that they have yet to get it right... also, it's been built up so much that unless it is the callibar of Stairway To Heaven it will be nothing short of a disapointment... I dunno, it's just a feeling that I have, I think Chief is getting a kick out of whenever somebody asks him about Clocks, he says "oh, THAT little thing..." He knows that the people want it and he's holding out... You know they way he is... they may have a version good enough for the next album, and then a week before the thing is mastered he might just say "Fook it, that song sucks anyway what was I thinking," and throw it in the trashcan... but I have never been an optimist anyways...

What about in the NME saying 2010? They aren't gonna do a damn thing in 2006, maybe by 2007 they'll sit down and write, then maybe 2008 they'll record and by early 2009 we'll see a full new album. And, I believe it will be their last sadly...

My Predictions
Title: Stop The Clocks Release date: April 2007 Produced By Dave Sardy and Noel Gallagher
1. rocker (L. Gallagher) 2. Stop The Clocks* (N. Gallagher) 3. poppy number (N. Gallagher) 4. Instrumental (Gem) 5. Quirky 60's number* (N. Gallagher) 6. eg songbird (L. Gallagher) 7. duet ballad (N. Gallagher) 8. eg Turn Up The Sun (A. Bell) 9. Coldplay type song* (N. Gallagher) 10. Strokes type song (L. Gallagher) 11. epic (L. Gallagher & N. Gallagher) 12. eg Cast No Shadow (L. Gallagher)
* = Noel vocals
Hopefully it won't sound to much like Don't Believe The Truth. Every Oasis album up to now has a distinctive sound.

after the tepid HC and the initial turgid reviews of DBTT I was pretty sure we wouldn't be seeing another oasis album ever. so this kind of talk is quite up lifting. and hey 7-29 as much as i like your track listing please, if you have the chiefs ear please convince him not to have the album start and end with liam songs

stop the clocks is supposed to have noel on vocals aint it? I reaaly think oasis is in the point of their career where they're gonna belt out 2 or 3 great albums in a row since they're no longer trying to please anyone but themselves

and hey 7-29 as much as i like your track listing please, if you have the chiefs ear please convince him not to have the album start and end with liam songs I think Liam's songwriting is getting to a point where he can carry the responsibility of an opener or a closer but maybe not both. On second thoughts I'll swich the last two tracks so it ends with the Gallagher / Gallagher composition (Jesus, I'm talking as though these songs exist! :

I say early 2007, but it really depends on when Zak is available. I'm sure the band want him on the next album. Also, the band needs to find a new label and sign a new deal.

good point, I wasn't thinking about Zak, he's supposed to join theWho early next year for album and tour so it might be a while but I think they could do the songs with noel, or terry or some session drummer and record the album and then when Zak comes back it'll be almost finished. I also think they should release the album as soon as it's completed. DBTT was completed like in january and we had to wait almost until june, I see no point in that... although DBTT is more of a summer album than a winter one so maybe that's why they waited? who knows.....

I reckon it will be about September 2007. There isn't such a big need for songwriting I think that they will reconvene in November or December 2006 like they reconvened in 2003, but marred a lot the recording process. (also the White's departure contributed to this). I think that they will be back for recording sessions in late 2006. So I think that as they were planning to release a sixth album September 2004, before all the difficulties and scrapping-sessions, they will make it around September 2007. If there are no difficulties in the studio. And I think that there isn't a big possibilities about that. I mean they can easily resolve their contract; not much need for songwriting; many of the songs are demoed already. So I think that there should be a new record around then. Also I think that they will be keen to patch up the b-side album with a new release soon after that. As they were thinking to this with SotSoG. But if there are no dificulties around the band - I don't think that it will be a problem if we see an album in September 2007.
Actually, I'm on bringing back White. It's a rant I know, but Alan is the Oasis Drummer. Not Zak and Tony, or Terry. Only Alan White.

I project early 2008, and I project that it will indeed include Stop the Clocks.
