Greetings,
This question might have come up before but this is my first visit to the board...in a way.
Basically, i'm just curious as to why Oasis haven't played Supersonic yet on there current world tour. Obviously with so many new songs to play some of the old ones had to go...but Supersonic is essential !!
I must insist that Supersonic be included in the setlist before and during the Australian leg of the tour !!
Discuss.

yeh noels said he's sick and tired of playing it and they stuck in bring it on down instead. poor statement as cigarettes & alcohol is the same, always been played live since the start. supersonic is most essential

I love that song!
Are they still playing the same set list during the fall tour that they played during the summer? (I saw them in June @ Philly & now I am going to see them in 2 weeks @ Cleveland. Hooray!)

It's The Chief's call, he's said it several times in interviews before and during the tour. No doubt Liam wants it in there. They should give the fans want they want in this instance. It's not like we're asking for a BHN album cut, Supersonic defined Oasis live - and is a big reason they are where they are today. It's just crazy they aren't playing it.
I'm rooting for LTBL to be added when the single comes out. That could really turn into a classic if the Guv'nor gets behind. It's another WW/DLBIA waiting to happen.

Personally I hate it and I'm overjoyed that the first tour I get to see Oasis, they cut it. They didn't play it the whole HC tour except for the 2003 shows either though, so it's not like this is something they've never done.

Yeah, i guess it makes sense that Noel is sick of playing it. Shame though.
My perspective is from someone who has never seen Oasis live. I'm seeing them for the first time in November and i'm ridiculously excited.
Whenever i watch a live concert DVD like Familiar to Millions, Supersonic is always one of the stand out tracks for me. It simply goes off. I love it. I'd also love for them to play Gas Panic or Who Feels Love...but like i said in my initial post, with so many new songs to play there simply isn't room for the older ones. I'm stoked they are playing Live Forever and Rock and Roll Star.....and i can't wait to hear Turn Up The Sun and Lyla....shame they aren't doing Keep The Dream Alive....would be a great track to end the concert....ok, i'll stop now !!

SEE to me the point is they only play 90 minutes! they really have no buisness playin so short ..the stones do nearly 3 hours at there age , if they would just do 2 hours and change they can play alot of the catalouge and everyone would be happy.. not to much to ask

(Sorry, I know this is a Supersonic thread)

I don't miss Supersonic. It's been played enough. I've seen them 5 times now and to be honest I could even live with them dropping stuff like Wonderwall (I don't like the electric version of it, bludgeons the song IMO) if it meant we got to hear some more of the hidden gems from the back catalogue. Supersonic has been played enough, it can do with a rest. C&A as well - great tune, but if they dropped it and played Fade In-Out instead the crowd would go mental. I was at the Wembley gig that's on Familiar To Millions - when Noel started playing Step Out I nearly pissed myself! One of my favourite obscure B-sides getting a workout! Fantastic stuff, they should do it more often.

Yeah, do it! Then maybe they'll play it the next night in Cleveland. I'll let you know if it works!
