Hi all, just got back from the Oasis gig at the Shoreline Ampitheatre and they blew the place apart.
I was really surprised at Kasabian cause this was the first time I saw them live and boy do they rock!! They played a little over 35 minutes and almost covered their album. They seemed real excited that the fans knew their songs. At this time the sun was still up and most of the crowd still up and walking about.
When JET came on, the crowd seemed to grow but only by a little bit. They seemed a bit off on some of their songs. The bass guitar was almost non-existent on some songs and the drums were a bit too loud. Overall I enjoyed them but for the most part they werent as sharp as Kasabian was.
The crowd filled in once Oasis was getting set to go on. They were all in top form. Liam's voice was sharp as a pin and during Champagne Supernova he had to complain to the sound guys regarding his monitors. Besides that, Liam was in a great mood walking over to the crowd to shake hands while Noel played solos. Noel too was in a great mood, thanking the crowd at almost every song he sang. During Mucky Fingers the crowd was singing along and Noel seemed surprised. Zak's drumming was off the charts, truly amazing and he just fits in so well. Gem was great as always specially with his part in Mucky Fingers. Andy Bell and Gem were laughing along with Zak in between songs and the boys just seem to be having a great old time.
The setlist was the usual for this tour, Turn Up the Sun, Lyla, Bring it on Down, etc.. The Encore being Guess God thinks I'm Abel, Meaning of Soul, Don't look Back In Anger and the totally mind blowing My Generation.
Cheers To All - OASIS still RULE rock AND roll !!!!

No it wasn't sold out, as there were still some lawn seats available. But I was in the third row and looked back and absolutely every seat was filled.

Great pics.
The boys had a night off before, so got some rest. That might've helped. We'll see how it goes tonight. I'm sure the Bowl is close to sold out, if not sold out. Should be mega!

I was there too...It was great seeing them live Turn Up The Sun was a great opener and The Who Cover was fantastic..Don't Look Back in Anger with the crowd sing-along was great as well..What was weird was Liam's voice sounded a bit hoarse at the start of the concert but seemed to find its groove 2 songs into it..And not only did someone kiss liams hand he kissed some girls hand as well! He also passed out two tambourines..One at the end of the show to some stringy tall guy in the front row and another to a young boy of to the side of the stage after the first encore song...I agree with the first poster...Kasabian compared to Jet blew me away....The frontman was great! By the way where was everybody sitting? I was in Sec 103 row DD...My fucking left ear is still hazy from the loudness..i hope it goes away soon haha

great to hear ! they have always been well received in SF in the past ! liam shaking hands ? !!!!!!!! fucking MF live is the bollocks man ! fuck yeah ! zak is THE SHIT ! CHEERS ! Yeah Liam was constantly walking off to the side of the stage and shaking hands with fans. There was this drummer form a local band who seems to be a Liam look-alike and Liam had to give him a second look. They shook hands and was shown on the big screens. Mucky Fingers live is AWESOME !!!! and Zak's drumming at the end just brings the song to a whole new level. I hope they come back again soon!!!!! by the way I was at 102 Q, right dead smack in the middle. Both ears ringing from JET.

FANTASTIC Pics!
Looking at the SIXTH ONE DOWN, where Noel is singing and Liam is just standing there with his tambourine, NO MIC IN SITE FOR HIM,
-WHAT- song is THAT?!?!?!
They didn't do Acquiesque at this show did they? I can't think of any other song on this tour that Liam would just be standing on stage with Noel singing,, someone that was at the show please respond??

i thought that gig wasnt great...the venue was super shitty and the crowd was pretty lame...oasis were good, but this was the 10th time i've seen them, and it was by far the worst gig i've been to

They did do Acquiesce!
To SleepFreak: I went to the gig too and would love to see those videos, do you think you (or someone else who's got them) could put it up on another site?
Thanks!

Great gig guys, although I wish they hadn't ignored the last 3 albums.
