Hey guys, got back from Japan late last night! Had a supersonic weekend! Great noisy and confusing show! My first Oasis show in 11 years and I was definitely not let down! I'll go into more detail about the gig itself later...let me tell you about a fuckin' cool event leading up to the show. Bear with me I'm a bit verbose :

On Friday I got up at 4AM and headed to the airport near Seoul. I arrived in Osaka at about 11AM. After taking a nap at my hotel I decided to head to a hip little area of the city called "American Village" to do a bit of clothes shopping, people watching, eating, drinking, etc. This is a big outdoor pedestrian shopping area with all sorts of different characters, nationalities, and subculture sorts walking around.

Although my head was still groggy from not sleeping nearly enough for the past 2 nights, I managed to get something to eat and buy a cool hat. At about 8PM, still in my tired daze, I was walking along and noticed a big grey van up ahead that was full of cool mod-looking types. Westerners, not Japanese. The van was stopped in traffic and as I walked along and got closer I said to myself "Wow that one guy kinda looks like Andy Bell". Finally my head woke up and I realized "Holy Shit! That is Andy Bell!" Then I looked toward the back of the van and the chief himself was staring right at me! My eyes opened up so wide when our eyes met and I froze in my tracks. Noel had a rather hard look on his face and kept staring at me. Their van was beginning to slowly inch forward in traffic when I realized that I had my digital camera in my bag! I quickly got it out and held it up and motioned to Noel. He just kept deadpan staring at me. I said out loud "Noel, one pic, please!?" He just kept his empty gaze, so I took it as a yes! I snapped a pic just as the van was pulling away! You can find it here:

You can see Noel, Gem, Jay, Zak, Andy and some unidentified woman and man. Know them anyone?

They stopped again at a red light about a block away. I casually walk towards them again (not too close, I'm not a psycho pest) to see who else was in there. I could pretty much see everyone except Liam. He still may have been in there, but it was dark out and hard to tell.
