Thanks bluesgnr. THAT'S what I was talking about. Of course I can tell the difference between their voices. I thought I had heard that they did some kind of production where they blend their voices together.

It's in the middle of "come" you have to listen close, and probably repeat it a couple of times, I thought it was bs too...but it's there

yeah, I'll agree, when Noel comes in, those lyrics aren't quite like other Oasis, but I was stunned, I loved it the first time I heard them, maybe because they are so different, they really affect you with a message of hope and emotion that just blows me away

Some of the one-liners in this thread are freakin' hilarious! Gays, oops sorry, gUys (only one vowel out give me a break), you can always be safe in the knowledge that although noel's first line is a bit of a bufter, ass-bandit iglesias style move, it aint actually enrigay himself. I happen to see that line as when the clocks starts ticking that makes the song a classic. Maybe there's a gaylord in me somewhere, gotta go guys, I think I need to sit my wife down and have a little 'chat' :-p

I remember one of the earliest reviews being posted here and the person writing that they had melted their voices together, which is an understandable mistake. |

It's a mixture of knowing Noel and Liam's vocals, both sung loud for electric and quiet for acoustic having heard them hundreds of times over the last 10 years, listening to what Noel and Liam said about it in interviews, and listening to it on some stupidly high quality equipment. It's no point beating about the bush about it - Liam sings the verses and Noel sings the other bit. Now, if anybody from the band wants to say otherwise (and why would they, it's not true), then I'll happily come here and let everyone take the piss out of me. But it ain't going to happen. |
