I know they dont help themselves in america with all their antics............... ;D
In the UK, in my humble opinion, you either love oasis or you hate them, there's no in between. In my experience, people i have spoke to who hate oasis actually do like them and some of the music but they hate Liam because he's an arrogant sod.
I think thats one of the things i like about them though, they were normal working class lads who made it big and didnt give a fuck about anyone and just went for it. I would i hope i did the same if it happened to me. ;D

PROVE IT DO YOUR GIG UNDER NON PERFECT CONDITIONS, DONT WALK OFF

Liam has been a bit of a diva recently, i'm just hoping that MSG goes okay !!! I paid roughtly $250 for my floor seats and flying from Glasgow !!!
I was at a gig in glasgow where they walked off about half way, not just Liam, the lot of them !!! The place went mental and ended up in a riot. That didnt bother me too much as it was only a 30 minute car ride to see them but MSG better happen !!!

The Chicago gig better go good, cause I'm paying around $400 for train tickets, hotel, gig tickets, and other expenses...don't even think about it Liam...

Here in Italy there has been people who have done 12 hours in a train to see Oasis at that festival. The days before who headlined have done sets of 2hours and half and 2 hours (REM). Oasis did an hour. But that's ok. But when Liam walked out, Noel should have done more songs. They must have respect for the people who love them. I understand Liam is the way he's, but his 30's now, and he fooked up US at least two times. He should grow up.

as class as noel is this is why they dont tour and stuff more. imagine if you had to put up with this shit every year? There would be no oasis.
As for the US tour... it's nearly sold out. Bad press isnt gonna make people just not come to the shows. Like I said in another thread, bad press will not hurt oasis here anymore. They cant be down further than they are... the people coming to the shows are a core group of fans and anglophiles...
If oasis want to do it right, they'd have more promotion and a proper 30 gig tour. They dont care, and truth be told 99% of american music fans dont either... most people havent heard of them

What if...
... IMOLA is the lowest point for the entire tour. Liam walks off stage with a damaged voice after completing nearly the entire set. Liam and the band take it as a wake up call, Liam takes it easy on the piss/cigs for awhile, has some of that throat tea now and then, and does the rest of the shows pretty much spot on.
...the "antics" get people talking about Oasis again, either slagging them off for the millionth time or being apologists, but all are astounded when they come to tour the US and things go off without a hitch. Critics and fans don't believe Liam is the same guy that walked off stage in Italy a week before. I doublt most Americans can comprehend how a lead singer can walk off stage during the show, then return to huge, sold out arenas days later.
They've got almost an entire week to cool down from this... I expect (hope) that they'll come to North America revitalized by the facts that 1) these are Oasis shows, not festivals 2) they'll have their own sound crew, 3) they're not playing at 1am, in fact 8pm is probably going to feel like early afternoon and 4) they've got the shows pretty well spaced out with time in between to travel and recoup.
I know Liam's frustrated by the voice thing -- he recognizes the problem, and apologized for it, but if he takes IMOLA as a dodged bullet, I think he can use this week to recover and regroup. If he's smart about it, it won't take but a few days for his voice to heal up. I think the arenas will suit his style more and not force him to shout -- there's more speakers per area than in the huge outdoor festivals and I expect that the sound crew will be better over here as well.

PROVE IT DO YOUR GIG UNDER NON PERFECT CONDITIONS, DONT WALK OFF I remember reading in "The Masterplan" booklet that in the beginning of their cover of "I am the Walrus" that Liam says something along the lines of "It doesn't matter if it's out of tune, in my mind it doesn't matter if it's out of tune". The booklet said this was part of Liam's hotshot bravado when he would intimidate other bands by egging Noel and the rest of the band on to play even though the instruments and sound may not have been in the best quality. WHAT HAPPENED TO THAT ARROGANCE?

So they played 14, big deal.

As far as the Masterplan album I thought liam goes "Does it Matter if it's OUR tune". Cuz then I believe he says 'John/Paul' and they go into 'I Am The Walrus'.
Just my opinion.

I paid 24 for my Boston Ticket, and am getting a ride from my cousin who said I don't have to pay for any gas. I will also need to pay 1/4 of a hotel room bill :\ And have spending money. I figure it'll all come to around 100 bucks. So Liam, don't waste my hundred dollars. If you do *shakes fist*
...(I wouldn't really hit him...could get the gig cancelled for the rest of you =p)
