Sibling tensions between OASIS rockers NOEL and LIAM GALLAGHER boiled over again at the weekend (04JUN05), following a disastrous gig in Belgium.
A bitter spat erupted between the Gallaghers when Noel discovered his wayward brother Liam was drunk while on stage at the Ancienne Belgique in Belgian capital Brussels on Saturday.
An eyewitness says, "You could see Noel having stern words with Liam during the gig.
"Between songs Noel was telling him to get his act together. Liam seemed quite drunk and was off the boil for a lot of the gig."
But this was only the start of the British band's problems, as the rockers also experienced complications with their sound equipment - causing the drunken singer to fly into a rage.
The witness adds, "The volume on his mic was far too loud on the first song. Then the sound engineers turned it down so you could hardly hear him.
"He was really out of tune on LYLA. Liam was furious with the sound engineers and threw his tambourine on the ground.
"As the band left the stage it looked like there was going to be an inquiry about who was to blame."

Come on people, I don't care if Liam has a drink or 2 before the gig.
*but he sounded awful* you say. Well, there was only one person in this forum that actually went to the gig (that I read) and he loved it. Another thing, Brussels was crappier than other boots because they were having technical problems, not necessarily because he was drunk.

If you want to ruin a gig with your expectations, then go ahead. If you want certainty that you get your moneys worth, then get some stocks. You won’t get a say on how the show should turn out. You get what you get and anything can happen. Just be thankful oasis still exists. I am!

Of course they aren't a perfect live but since the beginning you know thats what noel has been striving for. Liams gotta change now, he's older now... I'm just saying, in the US they have to be on their best behavior, especially in places they have either cancelled because of fusses or because of the taxi accident or whatever. I think I can speak for most oasis fans that we dont get to see them all the time or on tv or whatever, so when they are here they have to been on, ready to go and mostly sober

If you’re analysis is right then oasis will have to stop the live shows soon. Maybe I’m more forgiving but you know what Liam is about and that’s cigarettes & alcohol. Our kid is hard to defend and I really would like a sober gig now and then. Just don’t get your hopes up about Liam. When you spent money on oasis then prepare for anything. Maybe Liam’s breath will take down all the kids in the front row and maybe it won’t. It’s your money and you know Liam. I would go anyway though.

Kalas you're damn right here...... he has some nerve gettin pissed when 30,000 odd people (or whatever) have paid €60+ for tickets...
i saw oasis in dublin back in the 1997 gig when liams voice was too strained to sing, and Noel had to take over on vox. While Noel did a good gig, it's a pisser not seeing Liam taking better care of his voice, especially when he's making such a mint out of yours and my money
oasis seriously need to become more professional - not that they'll stop selling tickets or albums, just its the right thing to do for fans who put them where they are, investing money many don't really have to spare
quite right, get f*cked after the gig, not before/during

I agree with Kalas.
First of all, when I go to a concert I expect that the musicians do their best, and that's why I pay them for. If a musician is drunk and fucks up, then he is not doing his job. People complain about bands like Coldplay and their commercial succes. If Liam had promoting qualities then Oasis could be as big as Coldplay or that shitband U2. Noel is much more a proffesional in selling Oasis, at gigs and in newspapers and on the television.
Let me ask Oasisfans a question: do we want to Oasis to be a succes? If yes, then Liam should quit drinking before gigs and he should meet a mediatrainer or listen to his brother for once. When he can do that a good tour is in prospect.

having heard lyla (cheers don) i have to say laim is the twat everyone says he is - people are paying there fuckin hard earned money and hes gettin on like that, and what more he dosnet give a fuck, call it rock n roll if you want, but i seem to remember noel sayin once that rock n roll is turnin up playin a fuckin mega gig then leavin and doin wat the fuck u want - if they like it or not they are gonna be compared with other bands over the summer, and having heard DBTT is mega, Having Heard X & Y its mega, but live is where its obvious of the current gulf between bands, ive been saying for a while now, but i think Noel couldnt be fucked with Oasis anymore, Liam needs to sort himself out, for the fans, and that would be rock n roll imo
