I just had a good listen to the DBTT watermarked CD twice at the listening party in NYC and can tell you that the songs that leaked earlier are not the final mixes I heard tonite. Couple of slight outro changes and def EQ and mixdown changes . All good though...sounded great .!

The iTunes weren't final? Are you sure about that? Why would apple have a copy of the album that wasn't final? I think the speakers were just different or something.

There is a difference with the retail release on the torrents and the I-tunes leak, the tunes flow into each other on some of the songs for a start.

Nope , we all got the " real " stuff webby ... A regular CD can sound some much different from a speaker to another so leave alone mp3 files ( or WMA )
U2 management tried to spread the same rumour couple of days after the whole last album leaked

who knows if apple had a promo that was slightly different. when hc leaked the tracks were almost like the final version except for the songs flowing into eachother and the odd effects like on lbl. i personally think that they purposely left out little bits on the promos because they were expecting an early leak, but i could be wrong since i havent heard any of the songs to compare.

I hope to Christ they re-mixed Liam vocals on LLAB - sounds really tinny and raspy to me. Hurts the song as a potential single. The vocal on GGTIA sounds brilliant; why not just mix them both the same way? But then again I thought the same about WLYD and that was released sounding the same as the leak  |

I left a little after midnite and the Kasabian after party people started streaming in ( nice babes ) |

that makes sense ,web is the harmonica better on MF? i thought it was awful on the leaks Kalas, I have a pretty good ear ( used to do sound engineering for Rock Videos etc. ) I think there were slight differences between the songs I have been listening to for the past weeks and last nights cd, the cd was in a yellow sleeve ( water marked)... we'll see in a few weeks . |
