alright from what ive heard off x&y its like their be here now. not in quality, but that the songs just scream "this is the most important damn album in history". plus its with piano. now i like coldplay, but seriously i can only take them in light doses. robtth is a superior album, not as culturally important as wtsmg was/is (that album had more of an effect in north america than robtth, it opened the door for alot of british music to n. americans).
now dbtt sounds like 4 guys who really dont give a shit about what others think about them, just playing music they like. plus its alot more direct and fun than coldplays stuff.so have your coldplay, they'll rule the world by the end of the year anyways. but like i've always said, i want music thats happy, fun and direct instead of delicate and whiny

But I do agree with you when you say that Morning Glory opened the door for british music in the states. Radiohead and Blur got notice along with a ton of other British bands after the success of MG.
