Zak sounds amazing ;Dmuch better for the band now... on the Ross show his drums on My Generation were like Keith Moon....
White was more of a groove drummer (in the vein of Reni, but nowhere as good) which actually fit the songs on MG better, as MG had a groove to a lot of the stuff.
But I think the sound of Zak does better to where the band are at now.

I see what your saying but i dont think Alan was a groove drummer at all. I think that he was very well taught and he fitted realy well with the tunes being made in the mid 90's. But i dont think he is as much of a natural that Zac is. And you cant knock a drummer who has his 1st drum kit bought by a little know drummer call Keith Moon!!! Any one ever heard of him?

lol at ^.
I always loved Zak's playing with Oasis... he's full of energy, he makes CS and RNR Star (to name a few) sound a lot better, I didn't think that was possible. The ending of RNRS at Glaston amazed me, too bad people don't look at that performance too much (cause of Liam's vocals), the band was on fire (Noel&Zak specially).
One thing I noticed Zak improved a lot from Poole to Glaston (that was 3 days right?) which means he was still learning the songs. I can't wait for the new bootlegs, and I hope they come my way this year.

just put a 12 year old behind a drum set, pay him 20 quid and you've got tony mccarroll, one of the worst drummers i've ever heard. the reason why he was sacked was because he was horrible and couldn't keep beat.

Ya man but the drums on LIVE FOREVER and SUPERSONIC sounded good.
Who cares anyway-- you can barely hear it. What if it was a 12 year old instead Zak. Nobody except them people at Guitar Center every day would really care.
Oh, and Noel.

If you don't care then it shouldn't matter if it's Tony or Zak or Alan to you.. so why ask for Tony?

Cuz Tony right? I heard his band-- and they are MEGA!!!!! THEY ARE THE BEST BAND EVER! By the way, if anybody is interested in booking them, you can PM me and I'll set up the gig.
But I'm warning you, they are SUPER busy! Everybody wants to sign them up. There's like a bidding war. So you better like, hire them fast.

Why isn't Zak in any of Oasis's new promo photos? Is he part of the band? or just a hired gun?
If I'm not mistaken he played with the Who at that concert for the 9/11 victims. If it was him he was fuckin bloody AWESOME. Better that Whitey , Tony or anyone else they could've used.
By the way who are Tony's new band?? If they're that good how come no one's heard of em?

So has anyone got an answer to the Zak question?? Does anyone care??? Well, I care ... and I guess you are refering to: Why isn't Zak in any of Oasis's new promo photos? Is he part of the band? or just a hired gun? since someone already answered the CFNYC part of it ... From the start it has always "appeared" that Zak was only there as a temp/hired gun/journeyman/fill-in what ever you wish to call it. And I believe that is why he is not in the "official band" photos. I have NO info one way or the other on how permenant (or not) it is ... Maybe this way, he can't be officially 'sacked' if he was never a full fledged card carying 'member' in the first place! ;D - kathy

Zak is only a live addition to the band. When the band released a statement concerning the departure of Alan, it was stated that the band would stay as a four piece and would not seek a replacement.
