8.5
This album is very, very well balanced, unlike SOTSOG (which I like...mostly..but had some fairly blah songs in the middle) and Heathan Chemistry (which plays like a roller coaster ride of good tunes and not so great tunes that should have been b-sides...force of nature, Hung in a bad place, and she is love)
Best since Be Here now for sure.

its a good album probably 7/10, it has some tunes that are very very oasis, but most of them are in a new sound for oasis. cool

Solid 8/10
Has some great tracks on it, that, while not fuckin revolutionary, are still nice to see Oasis doing something different.
Even the ones i'm not to keen on i can respect. Nothing embarassing at all, unlike 70% of HC.
Stand Outs: TUTS, TIOBI, GGTIA, POTQ
Pretty Good: MF, Lyla, LLAB, KTDA, LTBL
Decent: TMOS, ABWR

Nothing embarassing at all, unlike 70% of HC. thats it really. unlike on HC where i do mostly skip FON, HIABP, (P)AITM, and BM, I dont find myself skipping or wanting to skip any of the songs on DBTT so far - isnt that the sign a great album? time will tell

right now i am saying 7
i feel its missing that one big song
lyla love like a bomb idle abel queue a bell will ring
are the ones really appealing to me
i think turn up the sun will really come to life when its played live....i really like the song but its missing a rockin guitar solo
overall not a bad song on the album
even keep the dream alive has its time and place
the album is very rubber soul and revolver beatles and la's
(i finally got the la's album today and i couldn't believe for 1. that i didn't own that....2. how great it is...and3. how i can really see a resemblence to don't believe the truth)
my top 5 fav songs on the album at the moment are
-lyla -love like a bomb -abel -idle -bell will ring
but i mean i say this now, i could wake up tommorow and think its the greatest thing ever.....its just to early to really make a definite desicion

I give it an 8.5 out of 10 I think the album's stand out tracks are:
Turn Up The Sun Importance of Being Idle Guess God Thinks I'm Abel Love Like A Bomb Let There Be Love A Bell Will Ring Part of The Queue
(Yes..a lot of stand outs!)
Morning Glory and Definately Maybe are in my top 10 of all time so I'd have to say this one will probably make the top 25

Be Here Now is a little underrated, though a little overblown, say 6.5/10
SOTSOG is an interesting one. I rather like some of its quieter moments, esp. Roll It Over, a fucking great song! The album begins well but looses itself after only a couple of tracks. I think a 6/10 is pretty fair.
Heathen Chemistry I really like. I'm always happy to put it on, though there are some tracks I always press the skip button on (Little by Little, esp. for that refrain 'Why are we really here" - ponderous and painful). Some great and some shit moments. I'd say it's the equal of Be Here Now, so 6.5/10.
DBTT: Bad Title, though not as bad as SOTSOG. All in all, a very cool album. At the moment I really like all the songs, though I suspect Mucky Fingers and Keep the Dream Alive will become skippable soon enough. The Importance of Being Idle, Guess God Thinks I'm Abel and Let There be Love are the best tracks hands down. Part of the Queue is good but not great, ditto most of the songs on the album actually. One of those genuine 'return to form' albums as opposed to the hyped return of the previous two efforts. 7/10
It goes without saying, of course, that Definately Maybe and Morning Glory are terrific, though the first slightly better than the second. I'd say 10/10 and 8.5/10 respectively.

best album since morning glory. i've definitely realized that they aint ever gonna release nothing better than the first two albums because that sound ended in 97 when they released BHN and will never come back, now they're in a different direction.
quality songs in general: turn up the sun, love like a bomb, the importance of being idle, guess god thinks im abel, part of the queue, keep the dream alive, lyla and mucky fingers. meaning of soul and a bell will ring are ok, but nothing special for me. without a doubt TIOBI is the best song of the album for me and (along with potq & ggtia). i also think liam has done an amazing work as a songwriter (he has the gallagher musical genes, but they have been sleeping for a long time). im a little dissapointed because just like in HC, there are no oustanding guitar solos, just some 15 seconds tinny riffs. there was also people saying that liam's voice sounded like the early years...well they might get rid of ear wax though...his marlboros dont forgive.
i would rate it 8 out of 10. 3rd best album for me!

8/10 for me too
doesn't come close to DM or WTSMG, but what can ya say eh... don't think anything ever will
stand out tracks - IOBI, POTQ, LTBL
rippng acousticy songs... the only thing from DBTT that lets me down is the lack of the raw punky sound that they used to have... that, and the lack of guitar solos... Shows Oasis are taking their music in a different direction...
great album overall!

from your posts it seems as if a considerable amount of you guys have heard the entire album. how??? when??
cos i thought that only a few of the songs leaked plus lyla ...unless most of you are basing your reviews on just those 5 or 6 songs?

Lack of electric guitars and solo's and in importance... you can hear a strang sound and that creeps me out! (sounds like a drill from a dentist! )

It's absolutely brilliant, just can't wait for 30th May when I can actually go out and get it.
If DM was the Sex Pistols, Stones influenced album, this is the Kinks, La's, Rubber Soul era-Beatles, New Wave album. Basically if anyone loves those records, and some more modern stuff like The Coral, I don't think you can fail to like it. The great thing as well is, despite that, it's definitely still got Oasis stamped all over it, even with the newish sound, and it's that that makes it superb.

DM: 10/10 WTSMG: 10/10 BHN: 8.5/10 SOTSOG: 7/10 HC: 7.5/10 DBTT: 8.5/10
I really like the new album. It's a "new Oasis sound" and it sounds good to me. No weak tracks at all. Every track is different from one another.
Right now, my favorite track is Let there Be Love. It's just fantastic. I love the vocals, especially the part that Noel sings, brilliant!!!! It's the best ballad since Don't Go Away, better than Stop Crying your Heart Out in my opinion.
I honnestly love every single track. The only tracks I'm not big on are Meaning Of Soul and Love Like a Bomb and they're still quality tunes.
In order, these are my favorite from 1 to 11:
1- Let There Be Love 2- Part of the Queue 3- Guess God Thinks I'm Abel 4- Keep the Dream Alive 5- The Importance of Being Idle 6-Turn Up the Sun 7- A Bell will Ring 8- Mucky Fingers 9- Lyla 10- Love Like a Bomb 11- Meaning of Soul
