JET is like N'SYNC with guitars and bad hair.
And "LOOK what you've Done" is a pile of dogshit....I can't believe Radio plays that, Jet might as well have just named it "Imagine w/ Sexy Sadie lyrics"

are you sure Kasabian are playing? They are decent, a little generic though, but much better than Jet. If there are two bands playing before Oasis, I hope I am not wrecked before their set. The last 2 times the Strokes came to Chicago they had 2 support slots before (Kings of Leon were Fucking Dominant by the way) , by the time they got on stage I was so drunk I almost get kicked out of the venue. I hardly remember any of the gigs.

Any Chicago locals know of a good pub to go to on Sunday night? Maybe one where the band has gone in the past? I figure they might go out for a few since they have the night off. It's a long shot I know, but I have nothing else to do.

Dude,
I'm pretty sure they serve beer there, my roommate goes to UIC and he says they do.
Hopefully they do, otherwise I'm crotching a flask.
I can't imagine waiting 3 or 4 years to see them play again and being totally fucking sober during their set.

I will be ripping it up in Chicago. I am flying down in the early afternoon with my gf and I will immediately begin sucking the piss once I meet up with my crew of friends. I hope Kasabian do not play, they are too industrial for my taste. Jet is a solid band, they should be a good opener.

They don't sell beer at UIC Pvillion? Fucken hell, I hope that isn't the case. I don't want to be bombed for the show but I do enjoy music a little more when I have some beer on my breath.

CALL THE BOX OFFICE IF YOU WANT TO CONFIRM- I DID YESTERDAY AND THEY SAID 'ABSOLUTELY NO ALCOHOL IS SOLD OR ALLOWED IN TO THE FACILITY" SORRY MAN...SEEN 4 SHOWS THERE IN THE LAST 3 YEARS...NO BEER, LIQUOR OR OTHERWISE. IF IM MISTAKEN ROUND OF BREW ON ME... I KNOW ITS UNFUCKINBELIEVABLE, BUT ITS TRUE SAD TO SAY. LIKE I SAID EARLIER, THEY USED TO BE HARD CORE BOUT' PATTIN' YOU DOWN FOR CARRY INS AS WELL.
