We booked "The Towers at the New Yorker " at a rate of £109 per room per night which i think is good. You can get a superior family suite with two double beds, marble bathroom etc for £109, 2 blocks from MSG and 5 blocks from Times Square. We booked it on www.kasbah.com you should get a good deal on there, they only took a service fee of about £10 per room from my credit card just now. |

Kalas has just told me that 10 blocks is equal to one mile so it seems quite central.

Well.. I'm staying at the Youth Hostel nearby the Central Park and it's 29 US dollars per bed/night, if anyone is staying there too, just give me a shout  |

you can get cheaper deals than what i got but i need a decent hotel, i couldnt stay in youth hostel for 5 nights i'm afraid. www.nyc.com are quite good too |

Also, I used tripadvisor.com to get reviews of the local hotels.
Hotels.com helps you get a list of hotels near each landmark, so this will help you work out which one's are nearby.

i tried hotel.com too but by far the cheapest i could find were www.nyc.com and www.kasbah.comI also check tripadvisor as some of the cheap one's are real dumps. |
