the album being released in august has nothing to do to with the fact that they can start the tour before that.. offcourse they won't miss all the stadium concerts of the summer and YES! Zak is the man!

Zak is the man! They're not going to tour if they don't have anything out, though. Kinda negates the purpose of going on tour "to promote something". The tour is going to come after the album's been released. It'd be very odd if they started touring before the album was even released.

Well like Glasto, festivals, and the like, yeah I can understand. But I just don't see them starting a full blown world tour til after the album's released. oh well. whatever happens happens, but that's just my thoughts on it.

I think almost every tour they have done has started before the album it was promoting was released.
It's not just the festivals they wouldn't want to miss out on, but their own big stadium shows they will almost certainly do in the UK as well.
Thats if they even get it all finished in time for releasing it in 2008.

Didn't Noel say earlier this year that once Zak was done with The Who tour, he had an open invitation to officially join Oasis?
Judging by the new pics from Abbey Road, minus Zak, I'm thinking it's not the case.
Not that it will change how the band sounds, but I think it would be cool that Zak was officially part of the band.
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!!!!

They still don't have a label to release it. Maybe they want to get it done then shop around the album a bit. I'm sure there's already good interest in them, but with an album to back them up I'm sure they would increase their value to major labels, especially if they played some of it live and got good feedback from the public.

Glad to hear Zak will be playing on this album. I was afraid they were going to switch to another drummer, which would hinder the consistency of the band in my opinion.

I am not sure, whether Zak will join permanently. It is a personal and business matter between him and the band. Noel also said that Zak has deep emotional ties with the Who and wouldn't want to leave them completely. On the other side however, Pete Townshend confirmed that Zak was invited to join the Who lot, but he declined, wanting to continue with Oasis.
In my opinion most likely he will be the band's new drummer. Also the new pic is with the five guys working and he isn't omitted. I am choosing to believe that Zak will join Oasis permanently, rather than the Who. If not, in the least he will probably continue dividing his career between the two acts.

They have a label. Big Brother in the UK, Universal for distribution worldwide.
