There will be a world exculsive announcement at noon (GMT) on the NME website. Any thoughts what it could be? I reckon tour dates for next year. www.nme.com/news/oasis/30240(why is the NME 1st for news, before the official Oasis site?) Check it out on Monday. I imagine the official site will have the news on Tuesday.

I would be surprised if it was an announcement for the dvd. I think it will be a bit more important than that. It’s either good news or bad news. I reckon it’s tour dates for next summer.

You're all insane if you think its tour dates. Maybe a one-off show for something special, but I highly, highly doubt it. I'd put announcing a proper tour in the impossible category.
It's probably just the special live DVD release, or maybe something having to do with the release of LDSMD, or perhaps both together. If I was to put my money on anything, I'd say a 2-DVD collectors set with the Manc show plus LDSMD.

"a world exclusive announcement" that sounds more important than just the release date of a DVD. Then again, since it's NME exclusive they want to let it sound more spectacular than it really is It's probably just the DVD, not tour dates or anything.

I may have missed it, but I don't think the group has signed with a new record label yet. Maybe that's the big announcement.

It'd be disappointing if it's a new DVD

Since this got posted on their myspace yesterday I don't think that they are breaking up... "And now we seem to have entered a second phase. Their most recent album, Don't Believe The Truth, rightly heralded as a triumphant return, differs from its predecessors in that the writing is shared amongst the band. Liam continues to blossom and mature as a songwriter, while Gem Archer and Andy Bell have stepped forward with telling contributions and are making it increasingly hard to remember a time when they weren't around. Meanwhile, Noel's own tunes seem to be engaging with the world in a more direct way, almost as wry Information Age protest songs in some cases. Where this might lead, it's impossible to know, but anyone who saw 2005/06's world tour will have found Oasis looking and sounding as vital as at any time since '94." It's a nice read For the full article blog.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=blog.view&friendID=4385325&blogID=297526253

You're smoking something if you even think its going to be tour DATES for next year. There is no way they'd announce it this far out. If anything tour related its going to be a very small mention along the lines of "new album in 08 followed by a tour".
It wont be a DVD either. Manchester has already been mentioned in the NME (and Oasisinet) and LDSMD is hardly worth this hype. Its still NME but it wont be a DVD announcement. They didnt do this for the DM DVD.
It'll be recording plans and the first possible release date (Summer 2008 or something like that). Watch.

That doesn't really say that it is the big news What a bunch of shit if it is "Worldwide Exclusive" a DVD Big whoopie Well, lets see..... the official site says there'll be info on the new DVD early next week NME announces a WORLD EXCLUSIVE to be announced early next week And this wouldn't be the first time the NME has overhyped something we were all expecting anyway

It's pointless to release this 2-3 years after it happened. They better put a lot of good extra stuff on it. I t really looks like it'll be the DVD don't it?
