On Oasisinet as well RITA FORCES CANCELLATION OF OASIS' HOUSTON SHOW 22 September 2005
Organisers have been forced to cancel Oasis' show scheduled for Sunday in Houston, Texas due to the predicted arrival of Hurricane Rita. Along with the Oasis concert, all major live music events in the Houston area over the next few days have been cancelled or postponed.
Oasis, with special guests Jet and Kasabian had been due to play to 10,000 fans at the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavillion in Houston. Due to the state of emergency and evacuation of the city the promoters took the decision to cancel the show. Tickets holders should refer to point of ticket purchase for refunds.
Organisers of the Austin City Limits Festival where the band are due to play on Saturday are currently reviewing the situation and will be making an announcement later today. However, the Oasis concert tonight in Dallas will go ahead as planned.
